Volume 4. Chapter 2 Evolution Of The Minotaur

Feeling that they had enough, they immediately created a magic circle. Bring Kila and Asino to the center of the circle.

“…..” The group cast a summoning spell.

The sky slowly darkened and the forest descended heavily, accompanied by flashes.

On the other hand, the arrival of summoned monsters and demons began to destroy the city and killed everyone indiscriminately, some people were eaten alive.

"I didn't expect it to be this bad," Cini was starting to get tired, because they were fighting and protecting people.

“Is this what Lina was talking about?” Rii brought up what Lina had told them before leaving for the empire.

The sound of lightning produced by black clouds began to enter the city.

“….” Rii felt the ground shake slightly.

"Did an earthquake happen?" Cini concluded, him felt the vibrations getting stronger and starting to hear sounds.

“…..” Vail took the initiative to jump onto the roof of the tallest building in the vicinity.

Rii and Cini also did the same thing and were shocked by what they saw.

"Tell me if this is a joke," Cini didn't believe that a mythological creature existed in that world.

"No matter where l look from, that giant is a Minotaur." Rii was so surprised.

“This is the second time we've seen a forty meter tall giant, here and in the forest where the Elves live.” Vail tries to bring up the giant creature that the three of them once fought at Etina's request.

“…..” The three of them slightly enjoyed the process of the giant Minotaur walking towards the city.

“Eh, hoy! This is not the time to be idle.” Rii snapped back to reality.

"I feel like someone is calling from the direction the giant is coming from, I'm going to check it out." Cini flew into the sky and headed towards where Kila and Asino were.

"Then I 'll take care of the demons and monsters that are still roaming the city, good luck Rii." Vail leaves, he doesn't want to fight with the giant.

“….” Rii is confused about what he wants to do. Every time the giant took a step, Rii's heart pounded even more with fear.

On the other hand, the guards at the Colosseum had disappeared. Because Kila and Asino couldn't maintain their activation magic.

Demons and monsters have arrived at the Colosseum.

All the teachers from various academies evacuated and held back the monsters and demons, to give time for people to save themselves.

“…..” Rii tried to distract the Minotaur by attacking with all his strength so that it didn't enter the city.

“Why do I have to face this creature?!” Rii complained about a part.

"Ha ha ha ha." The giant's terrifying laughter sounded like a gorilla, horse, cow, and pig combined into a terrifying sound.

“…..” Rii stopped attack, he got goosebumps and the eyes widened.

Everyone who managed to evacuate into a large hall building not far from the imperial palace.

“….” Noa felt the floor he was standing on vibrate.

"What is it?" The figure inside his body spoke telepathically.

“….” Vibrations and sounds of explosions began to sound closer and closer.

“The ground feels like it's shaking, but—”

"Noa Run!" The figure in his body exclaimed telepathically.

Everyone screamed in fear, the building they evacuated from was destroyed by the monster Minotaur.

“What is that creature?!” Rini was very surprised to see a giant with the head of a male bull, the rest of the body was human and had a very long tail.

“Everyone, run...!” Rii shouted to everyone there.

“….” Tasya and the other academy students were shocked.

“Teacher Rii!” Tasya saw her teacher who had lost one arm.

“Run, everyone, run!-“

“….” Rii was stepped on by one of the giant Minotaur's feet, because the Minotaur wanted to take its food so it wouldn't run away.

"NO!" Tasya and all of Vina's students and teachers widened their eyes, they all saw Rii's teacher die before their eyes.

“….” People ran as best they could, avoiding the giant's feet and avoiding the giant's hands that would catch and eat them.

“Get out of HERE quickly!” One of the teachers from another academy was caught by one of the Minotaur's hands.

"Help!" The teacher screamed for help, she hit the giant's hand and screamed and cried a lot.

"Ha ha ha ha." The giant laughed so scary, everyone who heard it couldn't stand because it was so scary.

“….” The giant ate the teacher and chewed like livestock eating grass.

“Quickly get up and run!” Noa warns everyone.

“….” They all ran again with unbalanced legs and trembling covering them.

"Goddess Ries, can you help us?" Noa asks for help from the figure inside his body.

“Sorry, if I went out and got caught. My soul will continue to reside in that giant's stomach.” Goddess Ries explained the reason for her refusal to help.

Not long after, imperial soldiers and magicians came. The wizards attacked the giant Minotaur simultaneously to get the creature's attention.

Imperial soldiers attack the demons and monsters that are wreaking havoc on the city.

“Teacher Rii.” Sofy couldn't control her fear.

“Everyone get out of here, hurry...!” Teacher Vina asked everyone to run for their lives.

"Older brother!" Noa approached his older sister, Vina's teacher.

"You four, quickly— " Teacher Vina's words stopped when she saw a dark light from the giant.

"It's bad, I feel something very dangerous." Goddess Ries told Noa telepathically.

The giant Minotaur gave off a dark glow, its eyes turning blood red. The darkness enveloped him.

“Everyone leave quickly!” Goddess Ries appeared because she felt a big threat from behind the black ball that enveloped the giant.

“…..” Everyone ran helter-skelter, fear, and horror enveloped them all.

"Goddess Ries," Teacher Vina immediately knelt in front of Goddess Ries.

"Vina, lead everyone to move away immediately..." Goddess Ries asked Vina to take everyone to evacuate.

A ball of fire came out from behind the darkness and headed towards the goddess Ries.

“Okay, goddess—”

“Ries!” Noa shouted to tell.

Boom...!

Goddess Ries managed to quickly create a barrier.

“….” The darkness that enveloped the giant Minotaur had now disappeared.

Goddess Ries was surprised to see the giant undergoing evolution and becoming a human who had power above the demon kings.

“…..” Goddess Ries felt a threat, she realized that was being targeted.

“What is this, I have goosebumps all over my body.” Noa felt his body shiver.

“Noa... run from here. The giant has evolved, perhaps because of the people he has eaten.” Goddess Ries continued to stare at the humans in the sky and asked Noa to run.

“…..” The person in the sky waved his left hand.

“That's bad! Get down!” Goddess Ries shouted asking everyone to lower their heads.

Everyone looked down, except Vina, Tia, Tasya, and Yua. The four of them died because they were too late to duck.

“A...!” Rini screamed when she saw Yua dead with her neck cut.

“….” Teresa's eyes widened when she saw her close friend dead, and Yua's body lying on the floor with her neck bleeding profusely like squeezed fruit.

“….” Noa was speechless seeing his older sister die so tragically.

“Get out of here quickly!” Goddess Ries shouted to ask everyone who had not yet saved themselves to immediately run.

“Hyaaa!”

The man in the sky suddenly shouted, all the darkness was absorbed by him. The screams from the man in the sky resembled a man and a woman joined together and screaming together.

"My body is getting goosebumps again, this is not a coincidence," Noa said to himself, now he knows. If his body responds to a threatening catastrophe.

"That's a form of intimidation from an evolving figure," Goddess Ries told Noa directly.

“You and I, are already threatened.” Goddess Ries said again.

The imperial wizards attacked their enemies, but before they could attack they were already burned with red flames.

"Everyone...!" Vail arrived with a mangled and non-functioning right arm.

Vail walked with a limp to get to them.

"Quickly run away from..." Vail stopped his words, he saw the heads of Tasya, Vina, and Tia which had been separated from their bodies.

There was a scream from outside, the invading army of demons and monsters was no longer able to be handled by the imperial soldiers.

“Keep screaming. Let out that beautiful sound, this is the beginning day for the awakening of the ancestors.” The man who led the group was very happy.

“Master Morgen, the sacrifice for the second summons has been prepared.” Said one of the people wearing closed clothes.

“Good, start summoning back.” Morgen was so happy to hear that.

Morgen ordered his subordinates to cast the summoning spell again, with Cini as the sacrifice.

“Tekaa we cals, pamadhang ningen creatures…” Everyone dressed in black and covered recited the mantra thirteen times.

“Kila…” Asino called out to her friend in a hoarse and very small voice, she complexion turning pale. Asino dragged her body, trying to reach.

“….” With her vision already blurry, she saw a blood-red light and heard a scream from Cini.

“Aaah!”

Cini screamed, his blood came out of the tear in him stomach as quickly as water poured into a cup.

The lightning shock got worse, everyone who ran was struck and died instantly.

“Goddess Ries! Noa!” Rini saw the two of them who were seriously injured.

"Fight back, where is your spirit?" A giant Minotaur that has evolved into a human with the power of doom and taunts Noa and Goddess Ries.

“This world has abundant magic and allows me to have this physical body again. Just by eating some humans," The man was so happy, the curse on him had disappeared completely.

“You all really look like people I know.” The man saw Noa and the others.

“Or perhaps, I was summoned to the past…I don't care about either, this is a good time to get revenge—”

Boom..!

fireball attack hit the man. When the black smoke and fire disappeared, the man was no longer visible there.

“….” Vail, who was no longer able to fight, began to fall.

“I hope my attack hits him.” Vail lay helpless on the ground.
