Chapter three;

“This , this…ahh…is part of my cloth design.” Tonny had to lie. He had at first thought that all mages had the lighting in their chests but turns out it was not the case. Who was he?

“That really scared me!” Elizabeth spoke with her eyes widely opened. “I thought we had another supreme god in the Shelter. Obviously that would cause chao, right!” Elizabeth giggled as they approached the Shelter.

“As you could see, I don't have any power. It is just a silly costume.” Tonny giggled to get rid of the awkwardness. His eyes landed on the Caudy Shelter and his mouth was left at gap.

It was  like another part of the world that the earthquake didn’t touch. It was surrounded by a huge circular wall more like a stadium but this was  larger. How was this even possible? Did they use all this time while he was in a coma to build this shelter?

“When was this Caudy Shelter built?” Tonny asked in disbelief. He still couldn't believe his eyes.

“Am not really sure!” Elizabeth replied, staring at him in confusion wondering what was going on with him.Maybe he had a concussion when he was pushed to the ground by the monster. Elizabeth brushed it off.”I grew up seeing it so I think our ancestors built it. Come on, let's go in.”

They walked to the gate that was guarded heavily by the people in the different jumpsuits, perhaps this was for maximum security in case the monsters were to attack. Tonny thought to himself.

When they entered inside the Caudy Shelter, it was a big city with very many skyscrapers around that gave it elegance with the lights they radiated. The sky was dark with no stars or the moon, this was odd to Tonny but given that this was a supernatural world, this was normal. Many of the mages wearing different coloured jumpsuits were walking around.

“What is with all these people and why are they wearing different colours of jumpsuits.” Tonny asked while his eyes were still wandering around, he was wondering why they didn't just put on one colour.

Elizabeth now confirmed that he really had had a concussion. She had to bring him where he belonged to confirm if he didn't remember anything.

As they continued walking, Tonny could see the houses of the different areas each painted in the colours that they were wearing. His eyes were shifted  to the people on the streets on the  other side of the city they were walking too.

This side had no fancy buildings, abit of old buildings and a few renovated ones. Some of these people were selling food on the streets. They were dressed in brown clothes that were raggish, not like the silk jumpsuits each  mages were  wearing on the other side of the city. .

Seeing him still in a confused look, Elizabeth spoke up.“So you don’t don't remember anything. I think you may have a problem with your memory because you hit your head.”

“I don't really recall a lot.” Tonny replied without wanting to raise any of her suspicions that he had never been here.

Elizabeth sighed before she continued.”Those you saw putting on yellow are the mages for fire just like me.  The ones in blue control water while the ones in black control the mind. The supreme god is the only one that wears white robe. His suit is made of pure silk fabric.”

‘’What about those dressed in ragged clothes.’’Tonny asked wanting to confirm if his suspicions were right.

“Those are the non mages, the people without any magic power.”

“The ones taken as  baits?”Tonny added after he had confirmed it.

“Absolutely, Elizabeth added. ”They do each and every work here while the mages go out there and fight. And unfortunately, you are one of them since you don’t have any powers Tonny Walker.”

Tonny couldn't back out now telling her that he had supernatural powers but couldn't stay around here either. In the past life he had been a failure and right now seemed like fate was playing the same joke on him. “Elizabeth I don't really recall anything, even where I stayed before losing my memory!” He wanted Elizabeth to take him back with him, he didn't know anyone around here, he could still find answers if he moved with her.

He was determined to find out whatever happened, he had liked this world at first but right now it was clear to him that it was not fair enough like his previous world.

People were still suffering, there was no fairness as those with power lived a better life while those without it were bond to suffer more so they were being used as baits on the battlefields with the monsters.

“Can I ask you how we got to live in this kind of world, I mean isn’t it strange to you.”Tonny turned to Elizabeth with a questioning gesture.

Elizabeth brushed him off, ‘’I do think you are funny. The amnesia did a great job on you.’’ She giggled not taking Tonny seriously on whatever he said. “I have been here my entire life. What has gotten into you. I will get you a place to rest tonight so that in the morning I can help you find your family. I hope I get to find you a place to crush tonight. The mages don’t actually like non mages. And no non mage will take you in since they hardly have any space to sleep in too.”

“Thank you, I will be grateful.”Tonny replied with a slight glow filled  his lips exposing his one dimple. Even though Elizabeth didn’t have her memory like back then before the earthquake, she always looked out for him. They walked back to the residents quarters.

Right now Tonny was convinced of Elizabeth not knowing what had just happened before they came to this world with supernatural powers and he was determined to find out the truth. How they came about? Why was everyone with different supernatural powers. Could it because of their sins.

Why was there another class of people suffering, he had ever suffered the same way and he knew the pain. He had to bring back balance even with the little super powers that he had.

Right now they had reached the yellow quarters. A tinny human figure with wings flew over Elizabeth's shoulder. Tonny could tell that it was a fairy as he had read a story about how they looked  back then from his school library in high school. It was dressed in a yellow shinny dress with blonde hair just like that of Elizabeth.

“You left me all alone, I got bored.” The fairy spoke.

“Suzan, I cant keep moving around with you. It is dangerous out there .Besides, you had to run for me some errands.” Elizabeth brushed the fairy off.

“Is that a fairy?” Tonny asked to confirm his assumptions. If every mage had one then  he too had to have his own and it could be somewhere.

“You guessed right. She is Suzan. Every mage has one but they are so fragile so they need to be protected. Don't be suprised if some of the mages don't have them. They run communication errands for us mainly. Suzan does my hair too.” Elizabeth giggled as Suzan stroked a her hair. “Come on, follow me.” Elizabeth walked with Tonny through the yellow quarters. There were several buildings marked A, B and C.

They walked  to the C building within a few minutes, they were inside the hallway between rooms. This was the longest hallway Tonny had been in. There were alot of survivors, that is all Tonny could say now to himself given the many rooms and large spaces.

“How did you find your fairy?” Tonny asked.
