CHAPTER 230

In the kitchen, Benjamin was preparing a meal for himself. Rebecca, after finishing the breakfast, sneaked up and shut his eyes from behind.

Time passed, but Benjamin didn’t even respond.

“You’re so boring,” she harrumphed and gently hugged him from behind. Again, there was no response from him. He kept cutting the almonds.

“I’m going out,” she reminded him. “Aren’t you forgetting something?”

“I don’t think so,” he replied.

“The dessert,” she said, a bit of crimson creeping up onto her cheeks..

Benjamin didn’t reply, but he put his hand back. There were chopped almonds in his palm.

“I don’t want them,” she pushed his hand away. “You know what I want.”

“I ‘honestly’ don’t know what you want,” Benjamin stopped cutting the dry fruits. “If I had, I wouldn’t be getting a bowl thrown at my face from my own mother-in-law.”

Rebecca frowned and tightened the hug. “I apologize in my mother’s stead. Forgive her, please.”

Benjamin didn’t say anything.

“Please, Gogo,” she kept going at it.
