CHAPTER 313

Amaal snapped his fingers. A few bats flew into the scene, picked Damian up and flew away toward the dungeon behind the palace.

In one of the rooms in the palace, Rebecca was still awake, but the pain in her face and shin made it hard for her to sit in place. She kept moving, and she couldn’t even touch her cheek that was burnt by the candle-flame. The maids enjoyed watching her struggle.

Seeing them laugh, Rebecca yelled in fury. “How can you monsters exist?” she still couldn’t believe that vampires were so real and also how cruel they were. “What are the governments doing?”

Amaal flew into the room, with his hands on his back. “Governments…” His wings retracted back into his body. “If those big organizations are even remotely good, there wouldn’t be beggars roaming the streets.” He squatted down before her. “You look like you come from a rich family. When was the last time you helped a homeless man?”
