CHAPTER 739

At Pure Waters.

Early in the morning, a delivery guy unloaded all the boxes of alcohol and placed them carefully on the shelves. He had messy hair. He was wearing glasses and had a long face. After finishing the job, he came to Rodnie, the bar owner, whose head was on the bench. Rodnie looked completely drunk.

“Sir, I finished the task,” he said. “If you give me the payment, I’ll go.”

“I’ll give you your money and some more,” Rodnie told him, “but first, sit down and share your love story with me.”

“W-What? My love story?” he was surprised. “Why do you want to know my love story, sir?”

“Because I’m too old to have my own love story now,” Rodnie said and laughed. “So, tell me…” he took out a stack of 100 dollar bills. “A good love story. And this money will be yours.”

The delivery guy’s eyes lit up. (There’s gotta be at least a hundred notes in that stack. Ten thousand dollars. I can’t miss this opportunity.) He quickly cleared his throat. “Ah, where should I start?”
