“If you can’t do the one thing we want, then get out of our sight, you miserable thing,” Azazel’s words pierced Benjamin’s heart and soul deeper than any sword ever could. “And forget about your wife. She’s never going to remember you.”

Benjamin suddenly loosened his fists and slowly kneeled and lowered his head onto the cold black rock before him. Closing his eyes, he prayed in his heart.

“What are you doing?” Armaros snorted. “You think your voice will be heard just because you get on your knees and cry in your mind? That’s not how it works. Your voice will only be heard when its cry is strong enough to knock on the doors of heaven. Otherwise, He wouldn’t act.”

Time passed.

Seconds added into minutes.
