Chapter 10

Saibot didn’t immediately pay attention to the things for sale in the shop. Rather, he first took a look at the people in the surroundings who came to shop.

There were a total of seven people. Some were browsing through the items for sale, some had their heads lowered as they contemplated, and some were bargaining. Two among them, one skinny and one fat, seemed to be part of a group.

The fat guy had a rotund figure, while the skinny guy had a horse-like face.

Their attitudes were unyielding, and spirit energy fluctuations that weren’t weak radiated from them. One of them was currently scolding the little girl as though he was very unsatisfied with her answers.

As the little girl anxiously apologized, Saibot began to check out the merchandise in the shop.

Things were the same as what he had guessed. This place was a general goods shop. There were alchemy pills, weapons, clothes, food, etc. They had everything.

Hence, he retracted his gaze and walked to the counter. He then calmly spoke as he looked at the shopkeeper who had an indifferent expression when he smoked a pipe.

"How are the white pills sold?" Saibot inquired.

"The white pills are limited, so we only sell five of them per day. There are still two pills remaining in the quota today. Each pill costs 10 spirit coins," replied the shopkeeper, lifting his brows and giving Saibot a somewhat friendlier glance, perhaps because he recognized Saibot as the youth who had fought against the beasts the day before.

Despite mentally preparing himself for the price, Saibot couldn't help but frown slightly upon hearing it.

His savings after these few years amounted to at most 20 to 30 spirit coins. However, the piercing pain from the mutation point on his arm didn't make him hesitate.

He carefully counted out 20 spirit coins from his leather pouch and handed them to the shopkeeper.

Taking the coins, the shopkeeper retrieved a sack from a cabinet and tossed it to Saibot. Opening the sack, Saibot found two white-colored alchemy pills inside. However, upon closer inspection, he noticed that some parts of the surface layer of the pills had

Turning to see who had made the attempt on him, Saibot coldly observed the scavenger with a horse face, who had been berating the little girl earlier, standing there with an astonished expression. Meanwhile, the scavenger with a rotund body blocked the entrance, grinning with yellow teeth.

"They are Rock Head and Centuriox from the Crimson Tale Team!" someone in the shop exclaimed.

"This kid should be someone Litcht brought back. Lightning Arrow and Crimson Tale have always been against each other, so I won’t participate in your matters. However, don’t waste too much time as I’m still running a business," the shopkeeper stated indifferently.

As the two Fire Possoms attempted to intimidate Saibot, he remained composed, silently evaluating his options. The spirit fluctuations from the two indicated they were around the second level. He was confident he could handle one of them, but if they cooperated, it would take longer. Moreover, starting a fight in the downtown area could attract unwanted attention.

Without revealing his thoughts, Saibot calmly glanced at the scavenger with a horse face and then reached into his sack without hesitation. Tossing it to the scavenger, he turned his attention to the rotund scavenger blocking the entrance, laughing complacently.

After exchanging a few words, Saibot left the shop, while the Fire Possoms swaggered out, laughing uproariously.

Unnoticed by anyone, Saibot followed them stealthily, patiently observing their actions. Time passed, and as the sky darkened, Rock Head and Centuriox separated.

As Centuriox made his way into the murky and ominous outskirts of the campsite, Saibot seized the perfect opportunity to carry out his plan. With a calculated and swift approach, he took down Centuriox in one fell swoop, ensuring that there would be no witnesses to his nefarious actions. The darkness acted as a cover for Saibot's misdeeds, allowing him to carry out the act without detection or interruption. It was a ruthless move on Saibot's part, but he knew that it was necessary to achieve his ultimate goal.

After taking what he needed from Centuriox's belongings, Saibot departed, leaving no trace behind. Unbeknownst to him, two figures emerged from the darkness at the scene of Centuriox's demise - an extraordinary old man and his servant.

Observing Saibot's departure, the old man expressed admiration for Saibot's capabilities and resolved to keep an eye on him.

Meanwhile, Saibot continued on his path, his actions unnoticed by those around him as he moved with purpose and determination.

In March, despite the return of spring, the weather still retained a chilliness that lingered in the air. While the cold didn't bother Saibot much if he had just left the forbidden zone, lingering outside for too long would seep into his bones, especially during the chilly nights when the icy breeze felt particularly heavy.

As he made his way through the campsite during the night, Saibot encountered some wild dogs, their teeth bared as they approached him. However, a stern glare from him seemed to make them sense the scent of blood and they slinked away quietly. Continuing on his path, Saibot eventually arrived behind a house in the central ring area and crouched in the darkness, observing a large house in the distance where Rock Head had gone.

Patiently waiting to see if Rock Head would emerge during the night, Saibot remained motionless despite the cold seeping into his body. Unbeknownst to him, Old Master Utopia and his servant observed from a rooftop nearby, intrigued by Saibot's actions.

After an hour passed without any activity from Rock Head, Saibot decided to leave and circle the surroundings to ensure he wasn't being followed. Satisfied that he was alone, he returned to Litcht's courtyard and settled back into his house, contemplating his next move.

Inspecting the items he obtained from Centuriox, Saibot found mostly miscellaneous belongings and a handful of spirit coins.

He carefully counted the coins before examining the white pills Centuriox had. Noticing their poor quality, Saibot hesitantly decided to consume one of them to test its effectiveness.

Feeling a warm sensation spreading through his body and a reduction in the piercing pain from his mutation point, Saibot concluded that the pill was indeed effective.

He consumed another one, experiencing similar results, including a sense of coolness and enhanced speed and strength.

Deciding to save the remaining pills for later, Saibot placed them in his pouch and began to cultivate. As the night passed silently, Saibot opened his eyes the next morning and prepared to head out again.

Passing by a clothing shop in the cold, Saibot couldn't help but halt his steps and gaze at the thick, clean clothes on display. After a moment's hesitation, he entered the shop, where he overheard the shopkeeper instructing a new staff member to hang the custom-made clothes in front for sale, dismissing concerns about customers returning to collect their orders in the future.
