Helping Someone in Need

But as soon as he grasped the old man's soul by the arm, he became aware that the man was being drawn away by an unseen force.

"You can't!"

Henry drew the old Papa away. He had a gut feeling that even God would fail to save the man if he failed to retrieve his soul!

The ambulance also showed up at the site at this point. The old man received rapid initial diagnosis and treatment from the physician and nurses.

The doctor paused his work after a while, placed the hearing aid away, and gave the granddaughter a regretful look.

"I'm sorry, Miss. He can't survive."

The granddaughter fell onto her Papa, sobbing uncontrollably.

"No! It can't be like this! You must have a way!"

The physician was accustomed to this type of conduct. With a sorry shake of his head, he hurried on to the next patient.

The granddaughter called out to the throng while raising her head in desperation.

"Preserve him! Is there anyone who can help my grandfather?"

"Whoever can save my father, I'll give them half of the Benjamin's Group shares! On behalf of Sophia Benjamin, I swear!"

"Please, I implore you, save my grandfather!"

Emily could not help but drop a secret tear as she heard Sophia Benjamin's cries.

While the surrounding individuals were grieving, Sophia's remarks also caught them off guard.

She's actually Sophia Benjamin?

She was the granddaughter to Benjamin Baret, the man with a hundreds of billions dollar net worth who founded the Benjamin's Group!

They would undoubtedly be willing to go across ranks if they could assist her in curing Benjamin and gain her favor.

Regretfully, the man had already received the death penalty from the doctor.

It was difficult to heal a old fellow who had been given the death penalty by the doctor, no matter how much they wanted to win this over.

"Hold on!"

Sophia Benjamin was about to give up when Emily heard a familiar voice.

"There's still hope for your grandfather!"

Henry crouched down in front of the man and put his hand on his chest after feeling the old man spirit emerge from the throng.

[Status: Internal bleeding, few fractured ribs, intense internal liver damage, detached soul...]

[Reason: Severe physical injury]

Benjamin Baret was not healed by him since he lacked sufficient heavenly power!

Henry was anxious because he did not think that his heavenly strength would be insufficient at this crucial moment and that he would not be able to save Benjamin Baret.

But allowing Benjamin Baret's soul to return to his body was the first step toward saving him.

"Return now!"

With all his strength, Henry slapped Liam's soul into his body.

Liam felt a shiver run through his body, as though his soul and body were beginning to reunite.

"Henry! You're wasting your time?" Emily scoffed.

When Emily witnessed Henry thrashing Benjamin Baret's body, she yelled at him with a furious expression.

"Can't you see that you have caused enough trouble for today?"

Emily was overwhelmed with disgust at Henry at that very moment.

Had he not toppled the garbage can and subsequently the pole, none of these mishaps would have occurred!

Sadly, Benjamin Baret's would never lose his one and only life!

Emily attempted to push Henry away with her hand, but he remained stationary.

"You disgusting man, why are you in this place? the old man vital indicators are zero!"

"You are a useless piece of garbage! Do you want to make things worse for him now that the doctor has already given him the death penalty?"

"What a man without morality! He is a monster in human flesh!"

With disgusted and contemptuous expressions on their faces, the spectators were all accusing Henry.

Sophia Benjamin had gone insane at this point as well, yelling angrily, "Don't touch my grandfather!"

Sophia Benjamin slapped Henry with a growl on her lips.

A few palm prints covered Henry's face for a minute.

But he paid no attention to what the other people thought, nor did he give a damn about the fingerprints left on his face.

He kept applying pressure to Liam's head with both hands, preventing Benjamin Baret's spirit from leaving his body.

"Return now!"

"Pfft!"

Liam felt a sudden movement in his chest and spat out a large amount of blood.

"Go quickly!"

Henry yelled nervously and abruptly raised his head, "He requires immediate treatment!"

Everyone was astonished by this scene.

The spectators were astounded as the doctor, who was staring at Henry in a stupor.

Someone who was obviously dead has indeed returned to life?

Benjamin was placed in the ambulance by the doctor and nurses after they had been stunned for some time.

Sophia Benjamin sobbed uncontrollably as she grasped Henry's hand after realizing what had happened.

"Sir, I apologize for misinterpreting you just now! I'm grateful that you saved my grandfather!"

"Please tell me your name. I, Sophia Benjamin, promise to return the favor when I can!"

Sophia praised Henry several more times while wearing an ecstatic look before hastily entering the ambulance after Henry called his name.

Was something miraculous happening here?

Emily was astonished at this point.

She never would have guessed that Henry, who was normally the one to do nothing, would really turn a dead person around!

Henry appeared to have vanished from her sight.

Just then, Henry was approached by the police who had just wrapped up their investigation at the accident scene.

Emily's expression was a touch unpleasant as she assumed the cops were there to investigate Henry's guilt.

She promptly admitted to the authorities that she was equally to blame for the tragedy and that she was prepared to take the loss of every victim in an effort to lessen Henry's accountability.

But when she was done talking, the police gave her a strange look and explained that the old pole had collapsed, which had nothing to do with Henry at all, but that the trash can Henry had kicked up had delayed the pole's fall, alerted the people underneath it in time, and given them more time to get away.

Ultimately, the police played Emily the surveillance tape and complemented Henry on his bravery and foresight in the face of peril.

Emily was taken aback when she realized the cause and consequence.

She had no idea that she owed Henry a gratitude note in addition to her unfair accusation of him!

By now, she would have been a cold corpse if Henry hadn't acted quickly.
