The Painful Divorce

After she was done talking, she turned towards Henry "Come with me after you've cleaned things up. I have something to tell you." She then went back to the car.

Henry said goodbye to his mother and got into the car after packing the belongings.

Emily buckled up her seat belt and turned on the car while they speedily drove off.

Finally, the both of them arrived at a mall entryway. Henry walked behind Emily as she led the way.

Gazing sideways, Emily's hips wavered with each step. It was quite alluring. After seeing it, Henry's mouth felt parched. Suddenly he was bumped from behind by someone, and he threw himself over Emily, giving her an unconscious hug. He put his hands on her chest.

Simultaneously, some information concerning Emily emerged in Henry's consciousness.

[Status: She has an upcoming sickness...]

[Cause: She was cursed]

While Henry was trying unconsciously to take the curse off of Emily's body, she violently shoved him away, "You pervert, what are you doing?" She warned him with a glare.

Emily never imagined Henry would put his hands on her chest in front of others!

"Don't worry about whether I'm a pervert or not. Let me ask you, where did you get that golden necklace on your chest?"

"None of your business!"

"It's not that I want to care about you, it's that you've been cursed!"

"You pervert, are you trying to find an excuse for what you've done? You even come up with a strange excuse like a curse. Do you think I'll believe you?"

Emily said angrily, while she was a bit perplexed as she spoke.

True enough, there was a golden necklace on her chest, but her garments obscured it. Henry knew about it, but how?

Is it possible that he was glancing at her chest?

Emily felt even more dissatisfied with Henry since she was positive that was the case.

"Emily, you're really in grave danger. Who gave you the golden necklace?" he inquired. Henry spoke tensely.

Emily questioned inanely, "Are you saying that my mother is going to put me in danger?"

"I'm not suspecting her. What if she was also deceived?" Henry hurriedly clarified after learning that it was a gift from his mother-in-law.

Emily let out a sigh. "Alright, Henry, let's get a divorce. I don't want to put up with you anymore. You're such a good-for-nothing, and you're still trying so hard to find excuses for yourself. After we got married, did you think that my family looked down on you because you were poor? It's because you don't want to improve yourself and don't even have a plan for your future! Do you know how much ridicule and pressure I've suffered in order to maintain this marriage? Do you know how many good words I've put in for you in front of my family to change their opinion of you? You definitely don't know! Because you've never thought about this. I'm really tired and I can't see any hope. Let's get a divorce!"

Emily let out a sigh and collected herself. "Forget it. I'll give you another 500,000 after the divorce. From now on, we won't ever appear in each other's sights again. Henry, take care."

Henry had no idea Emily had endured so much suffering or that she saw him as a deadbeat husband who couldn't achieve anything.

But at this point, he was powerless. Emily would probably not believe him even if he made a pledge to prove himself to others in the future.

Henry asked himself, a little reluctantly, "Are we really going to get a divorce like this?"

When Emily noticed Henry was silent, she yelled even louder, "Are you even listening to what I'm saying?"

Emily heard a loud bang the next second as Henry kicked a trash can upward.

Gazing upwards, Emily witnessed a massive pole wanting to fall.

Henry drew her aside before she could respond. Then there was a big bang. Numerous people were struck by the pole when it collapsed to the ground. Some of them let out a cry.

"Oh my God, Henry, what did you just do? Are you an evil thing sent by a wicked demon?"

Emily was unharmed, but as soon as she witnessed the awful scene, she shoved Henry away and began insulting him, "Get lost! Get lost, you monster."

She believed it was because Henry didn't like that she wanted a divorce. He kicked the trash can and broke the pole to let out his feelings, injuring a great deal of people in the process!

Emily quickly proceeded to help the injured individuals beneath the pole when she had done insulting him.

"Argh! Save me..."

"Please save my grandfather..."

"Call the ambulance!"

***

Everything was in disarray. Henry seemed uninterested in Emily's justification. He was going to go over and assist when he noticed a young beautiful girl in her twenties, holding an old man who was covered in blood and pleading for aid.

"Call the ambulance, I beg you, help me call the ambulance… Papa, can you hear me? papa hang in there… Someone, please save my grandfather. He's only six years old. I don't want him to die..."

The young woman screamed as she made a manic bow to onlookers.

Henry observed the old man whose body was perfectly like the grandfather of the girl as he was going to check om her grandfather injuries. He was somewhat translucent, but he dissipated.

Henry knew right once that the second person was the girl's grandfather's spirit.

He was shocked that he could see this, but he knew that if the man's spirit went, he would actually be dead, so he set out to find old man's soul right away.

"Henry, come over and help..."

Emily hadn't expected Henry to flee; she'd been summoning him to come rescue the injured.

Emily's heart gave out totally at this point.

Henry was the one who created this accident, but he did not consider a fix. Rather, he abruptly ran away. He was not meant to be her husband. She deserves someone better!

No matter what, she vowed she would divorce Henry. She vowed never to associate with a weak and inept man ever again!
