Second Chance For The Bullied

Encounter With The Bullies

On his way home, Jinhoo saw the crimson gangs trying to bully two teenagers, a boy, and a girl. They appear to be the same age as Jinhoo, they are lovers that were coming back from their date. Crimson gangs stopped the lovers and asked the girl to come with them.

"Your boyfriend would be safe if you agree to follow us to our party." One of them said as he touches the girl's chin. They were four in number, two of them were pinning the boy down and one was just standing and watching everything then the one that seems to be the leader of the group was standing close to the girl and he is the one speaking.

"Just let us go." The girl cried as she felt as powerless as her boyfriend. 

"How can you still defend such a weak boyfriend?" The leader said as he walked over to the boyfriend and placed his foot on top of him. "He can't even say a word to save you." The leader mocked.

While this was going on, Jinhoo watched from a safe place. He recognized the four, they are second-year students and one of the bullies he would soon encounter. Jinhoo doesn't want to cross part with them just yet but he also didn't want to just leave them.

"TASK REGISTERED, HELP THE LOVERS GO HOME SAFELY. UPON COMPLETION OF THE THE TASK, 5 POINTS WOULD BE EARNED." The system's voice rang in his head and it made Jinhoo's resolve stronger. Jinhoo decided to find a way to help the lovers, not because of the point but because all he needed was a little push, and the system gave him that push. Even though Jinhoo has decided to help the lovers he still has to think of the repercussions. If he involves himself with these bullies, his school life would be a mess once school starts. After thinking for a while, Aleric brought out the handkerchief in his pocket and then covered half of his face with it. Only his eyes could be seen, and to further hide his identity, he covered his head with his hoodie.

"Perfect." Jinhoo muttered before heading over to the bullies. Jinhoo is no fool, he knows that each of the bullies is stronger than him, and the only advantage he has over them is being smarter than them. Jinhoo is a forty years old man in the body of fifteen years. Jinhoo took the blank he saw by the garbage and walked towards the bullies. Seeing how they weren't paying attention to him, Jinhoo snuck up behind the ones holding down the boy and struck him from behind. Jinhoo struck him so hard that the blank broke and the bully fell thereby leaving only one of them holding the boy.

"What the hell?" Before the second bully could realize what was happening, Jinhoo punched him as hard as he could but the damage wasn't worth mentioning. Though Jinhoo's punch didn't do much, it still made the bully let go of the boy.

"Thank you." The boy said as he stood up from the ground. 

"Be ready to take your girlfriend and run as fast as you can." Jinhoo whispered to him before turning to the bullies. 

"Who are you?" The leader of the bully asked. He wasn't in a rush to challenge Jinhoo because of Jinhoo's appearance. Because of the hood, Jinhoo was putting on, it's impossible to determine his build, also with his face covered it made him appear more like a threat.

"Just a passerby." Jinhoo stepped forward hoping his bold act would make the bullies run. 

The leader of the bully also stepped forward thereby ignoring the girl they had all their attention on moments ago. This is what Jinhoo wanted, so seeing how he has successfully drawn all their attention, he muttered to the boy.

"This is the right moment to take your girlfriend and run as far away as you can." After saying that to the boy, Jinhoo went closer to the bullies and the boy used the opportunity to circle them to get to his girlfriend.

"Come let's go." The boy whispered to his girl.

"What of him?"

"He would take care of himself." The boy replied as he gently led his girlfriend out of there. Though the boy knows it's wrong to abandon the person that came to help them, they are too weak to think of any other thing than escape.

"Which gang are you from?" The leader asked as Jinhoo came closer to him. 

"What makes you think I am a gang member?" Jinhoo asked as a means to buy more time for the lovers to go far.

"The demeanor." The leader shrugged. 

"Where is the girl?" One of them asked, they looked around and noticed the lovers are gone.

"Seeing how you have made our entertainment go away, you would be the one to entertain us tonight." The leader said as they all circled Jinhoo.

"Seeing how little your punch affected me, I am sure you are weaker than you look." The one Jinhoo punched smirked and it gave others more encouragement to fight Jinhoo. 

"Though your entrance made us weary of you, your punch just gave you away." What the leader has just said is true but before they thought about it, Jinhoo has already done so, he is currently thinking of how he would escape.

"Just because I had mercy on you, I am now seen as weak." Jinhoo chuckled as he noticed something else about him. Though he acknowledged the fact that these four are stronger than him, he is not scared of them. In the past, Jinhoo would be terrified just standing in front of these gangsters, but right now he is not feeling any ounce of fear. The reason for Jinhoo's absence of fear is because of he is no longer a kid. Because of his calm emotion, Jinhoo is currently looking for the best route to escape from their clutch.

"TASK HAS BEEN COMPLETED, FIVE POINT HAS BEEN EARNED." The system's voice rang in Jinhoo's brain and he smiled.

"What's funny?" The leader asked.

"This." Jinhoo feigned to take right and it made the bullies run to the right in order to catch him but unfortunately for them, Jinhoo took his left and zoomed off. Because of the feign, Jinhoo was able to get a head start but the bullies recovered and ran after him as fast as they can.

Jinhoo kept running and never looked back since he knows any moment of delay would be a disaster, so he kept running as fast as he could. Because Jinhoo has been constantly practicing for two months so he's stamina was higher than the bullies that never bother training, so sooner than later he gave them a great amount of distance. Even after he is safely away from them, Jinhoo didn't stop, he kept running and smiling for it was like his first victory against the gang that made his past life a living hell. While Jinhoo was running with joy he mistakenly ran into someone and he stopped to apologize.

"I am sorry." Jinhoo apologized to the person he ran into.

"It's alright." The person spoke and Aleric recognize the voice for it belonged to Bella.
