Chapter 51

"Ryan?" Ryan heard Anderson call again for the hundredth time.

"Yes it's me. Why do you sound so shocked?"

"I'm not shocked. Just surprised. We're not friends."

"Yeah. I know."

"To what do I owe this call, Ryan?"

"I just want to thank you for staying with Piper. I wouldn't have expected that you'd do that anyway. She told me you were kidnapped with her while trying to stop her from being kidnapped."

"I am not the kind of person who repays evil with evil," Anderson said at the other end.

Ryan cleared his throat. "Seems you're not."

There was a little silence for sometime.

"As well as I don't repay evil with evil, I don't do free things too," Anderson said.

"What do you want?"

"For now, I don't know what to get back from you but when the time comes, I will let you know how."

"Okay." Ryan said and ended the call.
