Ryan tried to keep his breathing steady as the woman dragged him away. All along, he had been expecting that the dead man's partner was a man. It has been a woman all along?

"Walk faster," the woman said. Now that Ryan looked at her well, he realized she was probably in her early thirties. In her pants and blouse, she looked like an ordinary woman with an ordinary life, hoping to have a husband and kids —if she hadn't had those.

"It took you longer than I expected," the woman said, still dragging Ryan along with her.

"You only had to force the drink down his throat." She stopped in front of a car and pushed him inside. She also got in beside him.
