Ryan stood up from where he had been sitting all along. He met the Jed's eyes burning with fury. Jed's fist was tightly clenched, because Jed's back was turned to Tessa, she couldn't see how mad her husband or rather, boyfriend looked.

Since she was already suspicious of Jed's behaviour, Ryan didn't meet Jed's stare with anger, instead, he smiled.

Realizing what Ryan was doing, Jed walked closer to Ryan and pulled him in a hug.
