Chapter 5

This question was like a cold wind that pierced Joseph's bones. He swallowed his saliva and smiled widely, covering his nervousness with mockery.

"You wonder what it's like to be rich?"

Damian smiled faintly. His face took on a look of contempt for Joseph. "Of course not. I'm just curious how you got in."

Of course, Joseph could not enter this place because only Damian had the access card to enter this place. However, for Joseph, this was an honest statement from a vagrant.

Serra's hand rested on Joseph's arm. Her face looked adorable to him. "Honey, just show me. Show this bum how much difference there is between you."

Hearing that sentence, Damian suddenly felt sick. Something was stirring in his heart and mind. What made him go blind and love a poisonous woman like Serra? There must be something wrong with his mind.

From their first meeting until yesterday, Damian loved her sincerely. He tried to realize everything she wanted, even from behind the scenes. However, he just realized that the woman he loved so much was only thinking about money. He felt lucky that he had not revealed his true identity to Serra. If he had, then he wouldn't have been able to see her true face.

Damian tried to hide his nausea. His face looked as calm as the water in a frozen lake.

"I just wanted to see how you got in, that's all."

Joseph pulled his tie up. "Since I'm such a nice person, I'll show you how I got into this place. Pay close attention because I will only show you once.

"Honey, you are so generous. Even to a bum, you're still so kind."

Joseph looked at Serra with desire but restrained it and turned away, showing an arrogant face. "The Hanzel family is not only rich but also generous. I'm trying to maintain the traditions passed down by the Hanzel family's ancestors."

Joseph stepped forward and pushed Damian out of his way. "Get out of my way."

Damian waited to humiliate Joseph, so he simply nodded and shifted his body to the side.

If Joseph could be conscientious and reduce his prestige, he would have realized that Damian had already managed to open the gate of this house in the first place. For all his arrogance, Joseph looked like a fool looking for a keyhole in the gate.n

In his heart, Damian laughed with satisfaction at Joseph's stupidity. This was an elite neighborhood with super-tight security and the latest technology. With that, there couldn't be a keyhole in this gate place.

Joseph looked dazed and confused for a long time. Serra sensed that something was wrong and approached her lover. "Honey, is there a problem?"

"Maybe he's just making up stories about this residence," Damian chided. Serra was suddenly anxious while Joseph turned his head, showing Damian's words offended him.

"What nonsense are you saying?" Joseph squealed, looking at Damian with an angry gaze.

Damian smiled coldly. "It's been more than ten minutes. What kind of owner can't get into his own house."

Hearing Damian's words, Serra angrily squealed like a little dog. "Shut up!"

"Why are you angry? I'm just speaking the truth." Damian flashed a scornful smile. "If this house were his, he would have opened it in seconds."

Just as Damian finished speaking, Joseph's eyes lit up. He saw the scanner panel on the handle of the gate. It was slightly hidden as it was well camouflaged with the color of the gate.

"I see it." Joseph took out a light blue card from his coat pocket.

Before he went to this place, his uncle had given him an access card. He wondered if that access card could open this gate.

Confidently, Joseph pressed the card against the scanner panel.

"Look, this door will open soon." Joseph boasted. Serra smiled with satisfaction when she saw the card in Joseph's hand.

[Rejected]

Damian smiled with satisfaction while Joseph became anxious. He tried once more, but all the same, the gate did not move an inch.

"How is that possible?" Joseph became confused. His heart was filled with anxiety. If he failed to open this gate, Damian the scum would surely insult him.

"How?" Damian began to attack Joseph mentally.

"Honey, why isn't it open?" Serra was curious. Her heart was also filled with anxiety.

Damian could not wait not to provoke. His smile looked irritating to Joseph. "It's embarrassing. The heir to the Hanzel family is just talking nonsense."

Serra turned her head, angry. However, there was no denying Damian. She looked back at Joseph, who was still confused. "Explain to him if you brought the wrong card. "

"What explanation is there to say? It's obvious that this house doesn't belong to you."

Joseph put his card back into his coat pocket, approaching Damian angrily. His gaze burned like he wanted to set Damian on fire right then and there.

Damian wasn't scared in the least. Instead, he laughed when he saw Joseph's reaction. "Your anger only weakens your position."

"If this house isn't mine, do you think it's yours? Come on, scum, wake up from your dream and look at reality."

Still with his smile, Damian replied. "If you can't afford it, don't think others can't."

Serra began to worry. She had never seen Damian attack others like he was now. The man looked so different from the one she knew. When she wanted to pull Joseph out of the chaos, someone came with quick steps.

"Young Master Hanzel."

Joseph turned his head, his smile growing at seeing the man who had just arrived. Bob was the head guard at The Green Villa. In the past, Hanzel's family helped him obtain this position.

"Bob, you finally came too."

Bob nodded slightly, a worried look on his face. His gaze fell on Damian. Although his clothes looked expensive, he had never seen the man before. If it wasn't the Hanzel family, Bob didn't want to offend anyone. However, if he just kept quiet now, then the Hanzel family would not let him go.

"I'm Bob Baker, head guard of The Green Villa." Bob introduced himself. "I've heard everything."

"I was just about to call you." Joseph sounded arrogant. "This tramp dared me to open this gate. You almost embarrassed me."

Bob forced a smile. "My apologies, Young Master. Last night, there was a change of access card for security."

Joseph furrowed his brow. Not happy with Bob's answer. "Why didn't you talk to me first? Have you lost sight of the Hanzel family?"

"We had no intention of offending anyone, especially the Hanzels. But the management changed some access cards last night. For that, I apologize sincerely."

Joseph snorted. "I forgive you this time. However, there will be no second chance."

Bob nodded in understanding. He took out his clear, transparent access card and handed it to Joseph. "Please use this card."

Joseph took the card and placed it on the scanner panel.

[Access received]

The gate opened. Joseph smiled widely, looking at Damian and scoffing at him. "Now, do you believe what I say?"

Although surprised, Damian remained calm. Soon, Joseph's entire pride would come crashing down, so he didn't need to worry about it.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see what's inside this house." Although he sounded generous, Damian knew Joseph was trying to insult him.

He smiled and followed Joseph into the house.
