Chapter 6

After the gate opened, the four of them entered together. Serra was mesmerized when she saw the house. With the spacious courtyard, the tennis court and the outdoor swimming pool on the second floor, this house looked luxurious and elegant. One more thing, there was no sense of antiquity in the place, making her admire this place.

Seeing that expression, Damian smiled mockingly. This was just a small mansion. What if that woman had seen her family's castle? That woman would have fainted in awe.

They continued to walk and walk. As they entered the mansion further, they realized the house was poorly lit. Especially since the house was predominantly black, the atmosphere felt even more tense.

Serra felt uncomfortable with this condition, and she immediately complained. "Why is it so dark?"

Joseph looked around and found that no lights were illuminating this place. Although it was still daytime, it was dark inside the building. "Yes, why is it so dark?"

Bob felt nervous when he got this question. Although he was in charge of security in this place, there were many technicalities that he did not know, especially about something like this. In this place, each house had different settings according to the owner's wishes.

Even though he knew his answer would anger Joseph, he still spoke. "The lights haven't been turned on yet."

Joseph glared. "Do I look that stupid? I know that the lights aren't on, but why aren't they on?"

Bob was very nervous at the moment. He wanted to leave them immediately, but it could ruin his career. "The system in this house has been completely replaced. The manager hasn't taught us yet."

"You changed it without my knowledge?"

Bob looked down, visibly frightened by Joseph's anger. "I'm sorry, Young Master. However, these are all the duties of the management team."

Joseph snorted. He was really upset now. Without Serra, he would have given Bob a punch or two. "Now go find a way to turn on the lights here."

Bob nodded and started walking around the place. He walked to various corners where there might be light switches.

Meanwhile, on the terrace of the mansion, Serra looked sullen. Her enthusiasm dropped to the extreme, and she began to feel dissatisfied with this place. "Honey, it looks like this house needs to be remodeled."

Joseph was basically in a bad mood. Upon hearing Serra's proposal, he immediately gave her a cynical look. "What do you mean, which part should be renovated? Can't you see how perfect this house is?"

Seeing Joseph's angry gaze, Serra looked down and felt slightly scared. She looked hesitant but spoke anyway. "This house is perfect, but the lights here seem to have a problem. That's what I mean."

Joseph snorted. "Never mind, if Bob can't find a way, I'll call the management."

The atmosphere became awkward. Damian laughed at their argument. In the past, Damian had never done anything harsh to Serra. He always looked at her with love and treated her lovingly. If Serra were a faithful woman, she would be the happiest woman.

When he saw Joseph treating Serra harshly, she did nothing. This was something Serra deserved.

"Why are you laughing?"

Damian was still laughing. "Just tell me if this villa is not yours."

Joseph lunged at Damian and grabbed him by the collar. "If it's not mine, is this villa yours? No way!"

Damian grabbed Joseph's wrist and pushed him roughly. "Get rid of your filthy hands!"

Damian snorted and gave Joseph a haughty look. "It's obvious that this villa is not yours. Even a blind man can see that."

"Enough!" Serra shouted. She was getting fed up with this argument and came forward. "What is the proof that this villa does not belong to Joseph?"

Damian smirked. "Your mind is probably so occupied with finding rich men that it's desensitized to things like this."

Damian walked up to Serra and stopped just one step from the woman. The masculine scent and expensive perfume spreading from his body made Serra's face turn red.

Serra became nervous. She just realized that Damian wore an exclusive suit by a famous designer.

"First, although the Hanzel family is wealthy, their official residence is not in this place. Only one house is owned by one of the Hanzel family in this region, and it is not this house." Damian spoke each word with conviction. Dropping Serra in confidence. "If this residence belonged to Joseph, some servants should be there. However, this place is as empty as a house that has just been sold."

"This is ...." Serra began to look doubtful.

"Secondly, The Green Villa is an elite housing estate. They can't just change the access system without permission from the homeowner."

Serra turned her head and looked at Joseph as if asking for an explanation. "Honey, tell me if what this bastard is saying is wrong."

Joseph had already opened his mouth and was about to say something, but Bob appeared and cut him off. "Sir, I don't know the problem between you and Mr. Hanzel. But stop cornering him."

"You're just the head guard here."

"Even though I'm just the head guard, I have the right to evict guests who make a scene." Bob began to attack Damian with his words. Damian wasn't scared at all. He was laughing.

Seeing that Damian showed no fear, he again used Joseph as an excuse. "Mr. Hanzel is the third generation of a noble family. He certainly has many other luxurious residences. It's only natural that he would forget about little things like this. Before I get violent, you'd better keep quiet."

"I'm sure you became a worker of this place not because of your good skills but because of their favors." Damian snorted. "That's why you keep defending her, even using your access card and breaking the rules."

Bob was running out of words. Normally, an ordinary person would feel intimidated just by his gaze. However, this man in front of him was not only not afraid but remained calm.

"If I could turn on the lights in this place, what would you guys do?"

The three men laughed loudly when they heard Damian's words. Joseph was the most excited. "If you can do it, I'll buy you a car, a car of your choosing."

Joseph stepped forward and tugged on Damian's shirt collar. "However, if you fail, you must strip naked and run away from this place."

Joseph thought that soon, he would have a good spectacle. He even had his cell phone ready to record it.

Damian agreed to it. Serra was shocked by that. In her memory, Damian was not a betting man.

After that, Damian clapped his hands and said, "Siri, turn on the lights and run the stay mode."
