Chapter 7

In just one blink of an eye, the lights all over the place came on. The colorful neon lights made this house look like a house that could only be found in a movie. A predominantly black house with colorful neon lights, it looked very striking.

At the bottom of the outdoor swimming pool were many lights, which created the illusion that the water was neon-colored.

"Unbelievable...."

Serra could not close her mouth. Her eyes kept watching her surroundings, and she could not stop being amazed. Her enthusiasm increased by a thousand percent. The desire to occupy this house also increased sharply.

"Honey... this is so amazing!"

Joseph was mesmerized by the beauty of this place. Although the house had already impressed him from the beginning, the touch of the color of the lights made him feel like he was in a luxurious nightclub.

The Hanzel family home was luxurious and extraordinary, but it was a large mansion that seemed old-fashioned. It couldn't compare to where it stands today.

Damian stood with a victorious expression, looking at Joseph and Serra, who were still mesmerized by the luxury of this place. "This house is set up using sound sensors. How did you not know?"

"This adds to my suspicion that you guys are just big mouths." Damian continued his aura, intimidating Joseph and making him nervous.

"I... I didn't know!" Joseph tried to argue. "I just forgot."

Damian scratched an eyebrow. How did God create a human being as shameless as Joseph?

"That doesn't seem like an acceptable excuse."

Bob, who saw Damian start to push Joseph, was not happy. Although the man looked rich. Lately, many homeless people have rented expensive clothes to look cool. The man could have done the same thing. Bob felt annoyed. The fact that Damian seemed to disrespect Joseph made him want to send the man away immediately.

"This house has just been renovated and uses the latest sophisticated systems. I don't think it's a big deal if Mr. Hanzel doesn't understand it."

His face showed an expression of indifference. Damian replied haughtily. "Do I look like I care?"

Bob was getting annoyed with Damian's words. "Sir, do you have a problem with Mr. Hanzel? Why are you always pushing him?"

Being defended by a guard hurt Joseph's pride. As the son of the Hanzel family, he should have received respect just by mentioning his name. He wanted to strangle Bob and throw him. However, only Bob could currently be his support. Joseph could only hide his annoyance for now.

"Never mind, Bob. This tramp has no idea how many houses I own. Just ignore him." Joseph turned around and wanted to leave. "One more thing, kick him out. I don't want to see him again."

"Why should I leave my own home?" Damian frowned. His face looked terrible. "I should have told you that."

"Insolent!" Serra felt a great sense of humiliation when Damian said that to her. "You must feel sad and embarrassed to be like this, right?"

Damian grinned, showing his rows of white, neat teeth. "A snake won't be able to see how high an eagle flies."

His feelings for her had completely changed. Yesterday, he was still looking at her lovingly. In just a few hours, those feelings turned into contempt. "Accepting you means I'm humbling myself. And soon, you will understand the biggest mistake of your life."

"Get out and go!" Serra shouted. The more she listened to Damian's words, the more she felt an uneasiness in her heart.

"If I leave, I'll make sure you guys won't be able to get out."

Damian's remark was a very funny thing to Joseph's ears. He couldn't help but laugh. "What kind of threat is that?"

"Stupid... has a head but no brains." Damian scoffed.

"This house uses voice commands, right? Of course, I know!" Joseph cleared his throat and gave a voice command. "Open the door!"

Serra and Bob stared at the door, but nothing happened. The door didn't move an inch.

"It must be an error. I'll try it again." Joseph began to feel uneasy. "Open the door. I command you to open the door!"

Damian laughed at Joseph's stupidity. This house was set up to take orders from Damian alone unless Damian had added access for other people.

"You won't be able to do it until you die." Damian smiled broadly, enjoying his opponent's shocked and desperate expression. "I told you, you're just talking nonsense."

Serra held Joseph's arm. "Honey, explain to me...."

The look in Serra's eyes explained everything as if she was asking Joseph to explain why the door did not open despite Joseph's command.

"Miss, it looks like this house needs some minor repairs. For the time being, until everything is normal, you can't stay here yet." Bob tried to calm Serra down.

"Siri, open the door." Damian gave the command, a blue dot above the door blinked, accepting the command. The door opened, and Damian stood in the center of the doorway. "Only I can do this."

It was a very short sentence, but it clearly illustrated that Damian claimed ownership of this house.

"Liar! You must be lying!" Serra shouted back. Her eyes were unfocused, indicating she was unsure of what she was saying.

Damian did not respond to Serra's words. "Siri, turn off the pool lights."

The pool lights dimmed and turned off.

"Siri, turn on Star Mode."

As the main light in the living room dimmed, bright dots of light appeared on the black ceiling. The dots became clearer and clearer. The house's ceiling was filled with star patterns in just five seconds.

"Siri, open the curtains."

Every time Damian gave a command, it only took a few seconds to execute it.

Serra became anxious. Her hands broke out in cold sweat. Joseph also felt an overwhelming sense of apprehension. However, he must not show it for now, or Damian would feel victorious.

"Liar! You must be lying!" Serra could not accept this fact. "You're just a construction worker!"

"Are you sorry?"

Serra had already raised her hand, pointing at Damian with a heart full of anger. However, the suddenly opened gate caught her attention.

Joseph was also intrigued by it. A black Rolls Royce passed through the gate and traveled quickly before stopping in the car park.

A man got off hurriedly, walking with long strides into the residence. All the clothes he wore were expensive international brands.

Joseph swallowed. He thought that his history was coming to an end. That young man must be the owner of this house. They were still far enough away not to recognize him in one look. However, when he got close enough, Joseph felt the face was unfamiliar.

The man entered the house. Bob felt the pressure on his body as the young man entered. He immediately bowed to salute.

However, the man ignored him. His gaze was focused on Joseph. "Young Master."
