Shawn's father and mother were left alone in the room as Pedro walked out. It seemed like there was something they needed to discuss and he was the one standing in their way… it was supposed to be a secret.

As he walked out, he closed the door tightly behind him, allowing them to believe that he was all gone from the area and they began to talk. Pedro was still at the door when they began to talk and he had been hearing all they said.

It was not his intention to eavesdrop, but he knew he had to do it anyway when he knew we were talking about Shawn.

From all they said, it seemed like they had made up their minds and had taken a decision to cut Shawn off from the family. They could not risk getting their images stained because of their son, and anyways quoted the part Shawn had always talked about living on his terms and wanting nothing to do with his father or mother.
