Chapter 26

It was his favorite day. . . Shawn's favorite day. It was Friday, one of the best days he ever experienced. It was one of the days he knew that when it was over, he would have all the rest he needed and had ever imagined.

With all the workload he had on his head, it was the day he waited for the most to come to an end. . .

"Aren't you heading to school?" Shawn's mom asked as Shawn sat at the dining table watching a TV series.

"I am, mom. . .!" Shawn replied lazily.

"Hey! I know that voice. . . You need to put it behind you and dress up for school, and I mean right now. You know why you need to go to school right. . .? You need to graduate with good grades and come out on top!" Shawn's mom always said.

It was one which he always heard every time, and every time he heard it, he detested it. He never wanted to be the top guy in school or show off for having the best results. He just wanted to be on his own, quiet and successful without anyone's help. . . But this was one part
