“Tch… Finally, bit the dust, huh…”
A man that was hunched over a woman clicked his tongue, despite that introduction let it be known that there was no intimacy at that moment, simply an act of horrible violence as the man stood up after finishing choking the life out of the poor woman, he showed no regret for his actions, only a self-satisfied look on his face as he was about to molest the corpse, just the way he liked it, a person knocked on the door to his room, pissed off at being interrupted he yelled in a fit of rage
“WHAT!?”
The door opened slightly before another man spoke
“Boss, we spotted a lone noble woman on the road”
The bandit boss’ rage only increased, but just as he was about to yell at his underling he spoke again
“It’s not an ambush, she’s completely alone”
The bandit boss looked towards the corpse on the floor of his room before he thought for a moment and sighed
“Fine… Let’s go get this noble”
The bandit boss stepped out of the room, the bandit camp which was made in an abandoned mansion along the road to Kel was a den of sin, the bandits had lived well over the past half year they had settled there, they had raided all from lesser noble’s carriages to rich merchants caravans and had amassed a large amount of valuable loot, this was all thanks to their boss, which was a little too smart for being a bandit, originally he had been a knight, though that time had long since passed, now the only visage left of his past employment was a set of surprisingly well maintained armor and a sharp steel sword, Henry ruled over the 38 bandits, though he wasn’t satisfied with this, he would, when they had gathered enough loot, poison them all before making off with all the coin he could carry and head to the neighboring empire of Trei and buy a noble title along with a hefty amount of land, there he would spend the last of his days in debauchery and sin, but first came the next raid, if one really could call it that
“Where was this noble lady spotted?”
“Heading towards Kel on foot, she’s at the south section of the road”
Henry nodded, he didn’t like how this seemed to smell exceptionally of an ambush, but the outlook of getting to play with a noble lady clouded his judgment as he showed a lewd smile having already decided what exactly to do to this noble lady, he grabbed his sword and swung it over his shoulder before he spoke to his subordinates
“Let’s go!”
After trekking through light forest for about 20 minutes, the bandits linked up with the scout that pointed towards the road, Henry kneeled down and narrowed his eyes as he gazed out on the road and sure enough, a noble lady was walking along the road, she was dressed in a sky blue summer dress and had long platinum blonde hair and carried a summer parasol that covered her from the strong sunlight as well as obscured her face from the bandits, Henry nodded and clapped the scout on the shoulder before he spoke
“You’ll get to play with her after I am done”
“Thank you boss!”
“Good, now let’s go capture ourselves a lady”
The well-disciplined bandits fanned out and quickly narrowed a net around the noble lady that still walked on the road, as Henry neared he realized that she was singing a song, just imaging that voice pleading for him to stop sent shivers down his spine and clouded his judgment further, a few moments later he stepped out on the road and stood about 5 meters in front of the noble lady as he brought his sword down and stabbed it into the ground before he spoke
“Hello there, lady”
The singing stopped before the umbrella twirled around and revealed a face that lit a fire in the bandit, she had fair pale skin, baby blue eyes and thin blood-red lips, she showed a smile when she saw Henry standing in front of her as she didn’t ask who he was, nor did she show any signs of panic she simply said with great disappointment
“You’re not Matt…”
Seemingly judging the conversation to be over, the noble lady twirled her summer parasol around again and kept walking, as she walked past the stunned Henry he finally realized what was going on and instantly become enraged as he reached out and attempted to grab her arm, this was the last mistake Henry made in his life as he grabbed Michelle’s arm he realized that it was cold to the touch, too cold to be living, as he realized this Henry almost instantly attempted to take some distance from Michele, though not that he would ever be able to outpace an enraged Banshee that instantly disappeared from view and reappeared in front of the retreating Henry before she grabbed his throat and lifted him up as she spoke
“You’re not Matt, so how dare you touch me?”
Henry tried to struggle as he swung his sword towards Michelle’s side, though if he had served his own arm and fled there his end would have been slightly more pleasant, Michelle’s hand instantly grew long nails and turned into a blur as a loud clang sounded out before Henry’s sword was sent flying with amazing speed to god knows where, instantly Michelle’s face twisted in rage as she let out a scream that traveled outwards with a visible soundwave, Henry that was the closest felt intense agony as his eardrums raptured instantly, next his eyes exploded his flesh was tron to pieces and blown clean off his skeleton, much like a child blowing a dandelion his skeleton instantly cleaned off, in just a few moments, the rest of the bandits that were further away had their eardrums ruptured, and their eyes blinded, though they, much to their suffering, failed to die instantly as they suffered numerous internal bleedings as most of their organs had suffered from the unholy scream, Michelle casually threw the clean skeleton aside before her nails turned back to normal, then she twirled the summer parasol as she muttered
“I’ll be there soon, Matt… Just wait a bit more…”
Matt sat down at the counter as the mysterious man offered him the seat, he didn’t touch the beer that was poured for him however, and just sat and waited for the mysterious man to begging speaking, which he thankfully did a few seconds later“So… Any particular reason why you are looking to raise your level, Matt?”Matt showed a smile, this was the general consensus, that people that worked as either adventures or just killed living things in general, were looking to raise their level, it wasn’t far off the mark for Matt however, not that he was going to directly admit that, so instead he asked“Have you ever seen a specter?”The mysterious man shook his head, Matt’s smile widened slightly as he continued speaking“Well, let’s just say that it would…. Motivate oneself to do certain kinds of things, getting stronger is one of them”The mysterious man nodded before he introduced himself“My name is Kelvin, I represent a certain noble whose interests lie in… Shall we say, cleaning up th
Matt left the bedroom with a smile on his face, as for Lily? Well, she was in a deep blissful sleep, Matt walked downstairs and after a short internal debate he walked over and opened a loose floorboard and retrieved the cores he had harvested the last time he was in the slums, he then locked the front door and sat down in the middle of the room before he crushed the frist batch of cores and closed his eyes as he breathed in deeply as he absorbed the cores, after a few minutes he would crush another batch of cores and repeat…Some time passed before Matt opened his eyes again after having absorbed the last core as he did his eyes flashed with a dark green light for a bit before he stretched and stood up and showed a smile, he had successfully reached level 3, he was now only two levels from the first molding, though thanks to the influence of the old skel
Matt was utterly confused, just moments ago he had woken up in some sort of corpse reprocessing plant, and now he was being worshiped as some sort of second coming of Christ‘Wait… Maybe I did take 3 days to revive…’After spending a few moments escaping from reality, Matt’s eyes snapped back into focus as one of the workers were approaching him, Matt took a combat stance which caused the person to raise their hands and take a step back before a female voice sounded out beneath the face mask“Please restrain your anger, lord undead, we mean you no harm”Matt lowered his fists a bit before he spoke“I’ll be the judge of that” Matt sighed, he felt a headache coming, still he asked or rather demanded“Explain”The voice stammered a little“W-Well… The data I have on people indicate that their faith makes them exceptionally resilient, both mentally and physically, thus it seemed like the logical choice at the time it drastically increased work proficiency and output while entirely eliminating the risk of suicide among the illgas…”Matt now had a full on headache, he was not a religious person per say, though that didn’t mean that he liked the fact that this machine just created a region out of thin air to keep the illgas’ from committing suicide, he heaved a sigh as he massaged his temples before he spoke Soon the tram arrived at a collection point, there were several of these spread out from the corpse repossessing facility, a few were inside the city walls while most was outside them, Matt even figured that this was the reason why the city of Kel had grown so large, it was because the facility prevented very powerful undead from rising and wiping out the city, the city of Kel was also the oldest city around these parts if what the other adventures he had been traveling with had told him was true ‘Maybe I should ask Eve about it? Anyway, that can wait…’ Matt’s eyes sharpened, in front of them was the guard barracks, two guardsmen sat on either side of the gate, they were deeply asleep, seemingly not bothering about their duties, Matt scoffed before he decided to that the one on the left would be the perfect test subject for his new skill, he kneeled down in fSkeletal Dragon Avatar Head hunting

57 kicked off the ground and instantly appeared in front of the head maid, as the sound of metal cashing sounded out, Matt circled around and soon entered the mansion, there a person appeared in front of him, it was another maid, Matt clicked his tongue, this maid was almost as strong as the head maid outside“I would ask you to vacate the building, or vacate your life, your choice, dear unwanted guest”Matt showed a sneer“So you are saying that if I leave the building you’ll let me live?”The maid sneered back“No, I am saying you’ll save me the trouble of washing your blood off the carpet”Matt knew he had no room to mess around h
Matt looked blankly at the thumb sized pill that laid in his hand, then he smelled it once again, at this point Eve, that had watched him do this several times already asked him“Matt… Is everything alright?”Matt sniffed the Boon once more before he nodded and spoke“Yep, everything’s peachy… It’s just… This was once a person, right?”“Collecting data… Yes, that one Boon was made of rather low quality materials, so it was once about 47 people”“Huh…”“...I take it you have trouble eating something that was made of your fellow people?” Matt walked through the hallways of the underground facility and soon arrived at the corpse processing plant, the smell of what used to be people in various states of decay being cut into smaller pieces to be further processed entered his nose, though he didn’t notice at first he suddenly paused in realization‘Right, this is supposed to bother me… Oh well, such is life’While that thought passed through his head, Matt turned the corner and greeted the Illgas with a beaming smile on his face“Hey girls”The Illgas greeted Matt back at once with a slightly out of place feeling cheerfulness“Welcome lord undead!”Matt showed a smileSkeletal Dragon Avatar preparing for the job
