Suddenly, Mariana felt something dripping from her nostril. She didn't notice at first because she was enjoying tormenting Slade.

When she realised, her eyes widened. There was blood pouring from both of her nostrils.

She shuddered, cupping her palms to her nose to stop the blood from ruining her gown.

There was a tornado of headache in her head. Her head hurt so bad that she almost thought that her skull would crack open.

"What's happening to me? My head hurts!" Mariana exclaimed.

Slade was filled with extreme anger and sadness. It seemed like the more she opened her mouth to speak, the more malevolent and eviller she sounded.

Was this the same girl he had dated almost all his life and almost gave his life away for?

Was this really the same Mariana he loved so much?

Was this the same Mariana who promised never to leave his side?

Slade couldn't wrap his head around this. This was just too preposterous and unbelievable to be true! So it happened that she was no any different from her parents.

She obviously was not forced to choose Vixton. She has willingly and proudly chosen Vixton over Slade.

Slade was still very uneasy. The flow of energy in his body was fluctuating, raging, and rippling.

She was not worth it, right?

Slade took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm.

As soon as he started to let the foul emotions go, he realised that the nosebleed of Mariana stopped.

It was at this moment that he realised that her nosebleed and headache must have been associated with his loss of temper and deep anguish. She must also have been suffering for the fact that he was in this bad state of mind.

This was the first day of Slade coming out of prison! He didn't really get in contact with a lot of people while he was in prison. The fact that he even chose to be friends with Niel Rim-Adon made matters worse, and the inmates avoided him, too!

Getting out of prison meant that he was exposed to the world and would come in contact with so many people. Coming in contact with people while he was in distress helped him discover more perks about the powers and abilities he gained in prison.

Although he had perfected all the skills and abilities in prison, yet he has not tested all of them yet. He was impressed and surprised to discover this new aspect of his powers. But he didn't let this get into his head. There were still a lot more powerful things he could do!

Mariana cleaned the residual of the blood in her nose. The scarf that she had picked from the side of the chair was already soaked.

As soon as she wiped her nose, she lifted her gaze at Slade. Her eyes still held enough hatred and disgust towards Slade!

She could not suspect that the nosebleed and headache were related to Slade.

But she still hated him for being there.

"Leave! Leave right now!" She yelled at Slade, “You fucking harbinger of badluck! Get the fuck out of my sight before this place catches fire like your father's mansion!”

Slade had given her so many moments to redeem herself. He had intentionally been silent for a couple of times, thinking perhaps she would realise how senseless and evil she sounded.

Yet, every time, she blew the opportunity to see her mistakes!

She just decided to turn blind eyes to her wrongdoings.

She didn't see anything wrong in the way she was treating him! She believed he deserved it!

Mariana continued to glare at him viciously.

"You won't leave, huh?" She struggled to pick something out of her bag.

She brought out some hundred-dollar bills and started to throw them at Slade.

She was hurling the bills like stone at his face.

"You must still be here because you are broke! You don't have anywhere to go?! Take some money! Pick them up! You will need them! Pick them and go! So that you won't starve and sleep on the street!" She continued to throw money at him.

Slade felt extremely disheartened at this point. His head became blank.

Could anyone on earth outdo her in being so evil and malicious?!

"Take some more! Take this money for going to prison. Take them all. Pick the money up and leave!" She ordered.

"Mariana." Slade said softly, but the aura that exuded from him shut her lung!

She couldn't even say a word even though she wanted to.

"You will look back at today and wish you could take back your words." Slade warned. "But it'll be too late at that time. Because regret will be the least of your worries." He promised, then turned to leave.

Immediately he turned and started to walk away, Mariana found her voice again.

"Bullshit!" She spat at his back. "Marrying someone like you would have been my biggest nightmare!" She curled in disgust.

"How did he even survive in prison?" She muttered in a low tone, "I made sure he would die there."

When Slade walked out of the waiting room, he saw Candyce standing directly by the door. He didn't say any word to her. He had almost forgotten that she was waiting here for him because of the deep anguish and wild rage.

When Candyce noticed that his face was flushed in anger, she didn't bother to interrogate him or anything as such. She was quite perceptive, just judging by the look on his face.

She followed him from behind as Slade led the way out of that area of the Cathedral.

"Where are you going right now? Do you want to attend the wedding?" She asked.

Perhaps I will. Slade thought.

He needed to see by his eyes when Mariana was truly in his past.

Slade shut his eyes for a while as he walked on. Then he took in a deep breath.

He couldn't let foul feelings that sprouted from the meeting with her further dictate how he would feel for the rest of the day.

"I promised your father that I would come and check his health status and treat him. Take me to your villa." He asked of her.

Candyce didn't say a word. She just moved her head softly, then concentrated.

At the entrance of the church, a man was seen walking towards Slade and Candyce.

When Slade saw the man, he ignored and wanted to keep pn working. Slade couldn't do this. The man had walked to his front and was now standing in his way.

The man was dressed in a well-tailored three pieces suits.

The suit not only looked high-end, but it looked like a limited-edition designed for a specific purpose.

The shoes did quite a justice to the tone of the attire and the luxury of the entire idea.

He was wearing a diamond wristwatch.

Vixton Langley.

"Are my eyes playing tricks on me?"

Vixton muttered as soon as he stopped right in front of Slade.

"The pool of sweet has to dry naturally. It might look unnecessary, but it's important in the process." Slade added. "Who are you?" Doctor Huggins couldn't hold himself back anymore. At first, he had wanted to admire Slade from distance and not get too close because he was already looking for someone to blame the death of Jendall on if things didn't go well. But after seeing the technique that Slade had just employed in treating the old man, curiosity got the best of him, and he was now a mere shadow of his desires. Slade turned to look at the doctor. He saw the look of utmost awe crawling up the face of the man. He could still remember how this man was glaring at him earlier. He could remember how the man hardly paid any attention to him earlier. Up to this moment, Slade should have gotten used to this new side of Linda, but he was still struggling a little bit. It wasn't as though he was expecting anything from her, but seeing her go from doting on him to yelling and wanting to kill him was just something that he still found very strange. There was no reason for him to stay where he was not welcomed. In fact, staying here would bring out no good in the first place. "Don't be too harsh on him, mother." Vixton turned to Linda as she got to them. Linda's eyes were extremely red with rage. If eyes could kill, Slade would have been buried eight feet deep into the abyss of the earth. Every string or note of caring had disappeared from her eyes. "I understand what his frustration is." Vixton continued. Everyone was a little interested in what he was talking about. Of course, they knew that he didn't like Slade, but what was this he was saying?"He must have been dying to see a day like this. I mean, who wouldn't. Let alone some

"Huh?" Manuel thought his ears were playing some tricks on him. Of course he heard what Slade had said but he refused to believe it. Slade didn't respond to him. Instead he turned around to look at Katrina. "You should lie down." He advised. Katrina looked around the layout of the building. She turned around inspecting every corner that her eyes could see from that spot. "There should be a room here." She led the way to one of the doors in sight. Manuel stood there in shock as he saw how energetic Katrina had become. Katrina who seemed weak and tacky was now moving lightly as though she was never sick. The door was pushed open and Katrina walked into a room. The room was well arranged and opulent. Although its size was not as big as every modern room, but its interior and furniture choices were just perfect. "We can use here." She turned to look at Slade as she sat on the bed. Slade walked into the room and looked around for a moment. By the metrics of comparison, he found thi

If you do, I'll make sure to restrain all your access to every services of mine that were exclusive to you." He warned sternly. "I'm hanging the call right now." He added. "Jon." Slade said point in time that Jon was about to hang the call in the fit of rage. "Divine doctor?!" Jon exclaimed at once. Everyone in the building were shocked by this. Slade replied, looking at Manuel who thought he was looking quite scary. "Answer me, you bastard! Who the fuck are you!!!" Manuel yelled, walking towards Slade. "How the hell did you get in here?" Manuel was now standing in front of Slade. Manuel didn't seem to have any sense of self-awareness or protection. He seemed to be more driven by his rage and emotions. Right now, the only thing he could think of was making this strange man beg him for his life. "I'll be on my way, then." Slade suddenly got up on his feet. It would seem as though Manuel hadn't been on the top of his voice yelling questions. Of course Slade could hear all the quest

"Katrina?" Slade asked, trying to fetch the information that would complement what Lord JK had just said to him. "The president and leader of the Nyther-Rim Group." Lord JK added. "Oh. That bitch!" Slade exclaimed, his brows furrowing. When he called Katrina a bitch, the old woman quickly looked at him. Slade smiled at her, nodding. He wasn't sure whether or not the woman understood what that meant. He thought that an old woman like that wouldn't know much about curse words. "Did she call you personally?" Slade asked, reviewing the possibilities of this. "She dare not. She wouldn't even conceive the thought let alone try to act it out." Lord JK'S voice was firm and serious as he said this. He sounded quite offended, but Slade knew that the old man could not possibly be offended at him. Also, he knew that Lord JK hated every board member of the Nyther-Rim Group. Of course the old man knew the story of his family!"Then how were you able to decide that she was one who called?" Sla

After those last words of Ivana, she was out of sight. She disappeared and the trace of her could never be found again. Katrina looked to the side and saw a bird flying away. Her gaze lingered on the bird for a moment. There were a lot of things running around in her head. Things that weren't easy to come to terms with. Every little doubts that she had earlier about this strange lady had finally dissolved. She didn't need anyone or anything to prove to her that Ivana was truly the one who had done the deed. Ivana had just said something about someone putting a mark on her. Katrina wanted to believe that the Supreme god who had slipped the insect into her body was none other than Ivana's master. She believed that what was happening was something beyond the ordinary. Giving by a lot of circumstances: The death of all the board members, the disappearance and the bird that had just flew away. The lady was wearing something that was made from the skin of a random animal. She didn't think she had seen that animal before. The lady could have been taken for someone rough and wild, but just staring at how cute and clean her legs were, it was hard to come to a direct conclusion. Katrina, at this point, was caught in between claws of confusion. She didn't really know what to attribute to this strange lady. Before she stepped out of the villa, Dexter had cried and warned her that the lady outside was the one who had killed all the board members. How could it be so, Katrina wondered? This strange lady didn't look like someone who could even harm a fly. "Oh my fucking

If blinking his eyes a million times was the better resort, Manuel should have been able to arrive at a perfect response by now. What was set in front of him right now was beyond what he could have seen coming. There was a heap of newly killed people in the center of the living room. Each of the people had their bodies severed in different regions. The head of a man was cut off. The bowel of another was pulled out of the stomach. Intenstines were hanging around the neck of some. One of them had his legs twisted to the back and curled around the back of the neck. Manuel couldn't believe his eyes as he stared at the scene. He wished that this was nothing but a staged facade. Perhaps a sort of illusion that had been fused into reality just like the VR game. He was still speechless when he came to recognize the face of one of the dead men. "Klein?!!!" He screamed, running forward. Klein was one of the important board members of the Nyther-Rim Group."What happened to you, Klein? Who

Earlier, ever since they got back to the villa after the experience at the beach, they had both been silent.
