Chapter 30

Slade remained clueless as he stood there staring at Ceballos and his men.

Why was Ceballos bowing, didn't him and his men clear the room to beat him to stupor?

"What is this?" Slade asked eventually, after doing all the questioning in his head but never got an answer.

Ceballos lifted his body slowly to look at Slade, but he didn't directly look into his eyes at first. Slade noticed this.

The Ceballos who was looking down on him earlier. Who was staring down at him as though he was a piece of junkyard, was now reluctant to look him in the eyes? What a peculiar twist.

"Forgive me and my men for being so rude to you. We must have lost our minds for a moment." Ceballos continued, now building the courage to at least arch his face to hold up the frame of Slade.

"We didn't know who you were until now. If you do not spare us, we absolutely deserve your fierce judgement." He added, bowing his head to the floor again.
