"I told you not to turn around." Slade scolded, but Candyce didn't break the gaze. Her eyes remained glued to Slade's chest.

When Slade saw her reaction, he slowly looked down at his own chest.

There were at least five long scars that were inter-connected across his chest. These scars used to be gores that were filled with flesh over the course of time.

When Candyce saw this, she couldn't help but be scared and terrified. What could have happened to Slade that left so many scars all over his chest?

She slowly started to reach her hand out. She was scared but curious. Slade didn't stop her. He realised that she was already too smitten to be pulled back.

The tip of her finger touch the first crack in his skin. She shuddered when she registered the touch.

Slowly, she gained some confidence and began to trace her finger through the hollow of that scar till she got to the T-junction of scars on his chest.

She gasped.
