The fireplace in the opulent living area was warm enough to spread warmth across the body of Slade. The glass of Scotch in his hand complemented the wave of hate that momentarily traveled to where he was.

He was seated on a reclining chair, his legs outstretched over an extended area of the chair that was made for the purpose of creating comfort.

His gaze lingered in a direction. There was a man seated opposite him. Opposed to how comfortably Slade was seated, this man was seated at the edge of the chair, both of his hands were rested on each leg. At first, it would seem like he was suffering from the cold, but from the look of things, this seemed more of a psychological situation.

This man who seemed to be in caution and fright in front of Slade was a very deadly and powerful man.
