Chapter 85

Slade knew General Trent! The man's pictures were mostly in the magazines and he was taught in the college too in the history of the country. But seeing the General while he was at the cemetery was something he never imagined. He should have been surprised but he really wasn't, perhaps because he was way too emotional.

Right now, the gravity of everything started to loom and the weight was getting too much for Slade to bear.

"You shouldn't stand, Immortal One." The General's words knocked Slade out of his thoughts.

Slade snatched back his consciousness, and he saw that the General was now sitting the same way he had been seated before he decided to drop on his knees.

Slade walked back to his seat and settled down.

"The Lost Brothers." The General picked a new discourse. "I'm sure you know what happens when you kill one of the soldiers under the wing of a commander, let alone a General."
