"Huh?" Dexter looked extremely flabbergasted by what Slade had just said.

When he had accused Slade, he had thought that Slade would deny the accusations and decide to leave at once to avoid being questioned further.

If that had happened, Dexter had prepared so many other means to get the answer out of Slade. He had gone to the extreme length of hiring some thugs to make Slade talk, but the thugs were in hide at the moment.

But right now, Slade had easily answered his question without even a need for pressing or urging!

Dexter was not prepared for something like this. He didn't know what else to do at this point. This situation was moving too fast than he had anticipated.

"You look pale. Why do you look so surprised?" Slade continued, a scoff blowing through his nostrils.

"You didn't think I would be able to pull it off if I were the one?" Slade asked, continously teasing the poor guy.

Dexter was too flustered to speak, but his eyes attested to everything that Slade was saying.
