A Test 1

Amanda gave Jake a familiar look and a smile that moved from her lips formed creases on her cheeks but never made it to her eyes. Jake took one look at the woman and knew what she wanted.

"No, no, no," he said and stood up, excluding himself from her presence.

*What do you mean by no? You were going to do it before?" Amanda stood up as well and moved closer to him.

"Don't you see that we are not children? Can't you see that we don't live in a fairytale world? Our actions have consequences Amanda, dire ones at that. And you still want me to sell those drugs?"

"Look, babe, I don't want you to either but we don't have any money and I'm pretty much sure that you have spent all our money to fix my mistake. Don't get me wrong, I am not angry with you for paying the hospital bills. No, I'm not. But babe, we need a source of livelihood. We need to stay alive."
