Ivy did not respond immediately and Jake desperately needed to feel alive. He left his house in search of Ivy. As he stepped his foot outside, he saw the car that Amanda's father had gotten for him but he had lost all interest in driving such a car. He would wait till Amanda came back and took the car with her. He ordered a taxi instead and instructed the man to drop him off at Ivy's house.
