Chapter nine

Looking out from the windshield, Cassidy could recognise the little boy. She jumped out of the car and got a startling response from her mother.

"Get back into the car. Can't you see it's pouring rain out here?"

But Cassidy didn't listen instead she raced towards her mother.

"I know that boy. He is the same boy that I had that fight with."

"Are you sure?" Amanda didn't want to believe that she would have to stay in a room with such a vile man and discuss her daughter's punishment.

"I'm pretty much sure I would know who I beat up."

Looking around, she grabbed an umbrella from the car and with her bag in hand, she headed to the principal office.

Before she opened the door, she sent a silent prayer to Heaven asking God to not allow her daughter to be correct. God must have obviously laughed at her request instead of taking it seriously because when she opened the door, the vile man was sitting with the little boy on his leg.
