Before Jake could say another thing, the doctor walked in and he was more than grateful for the distraction. He was sure of comforting her but when it came to him and Amanda, everything always ended differently from how he imagined it. The doctor left before Jake could ask him any other questions. The last thing he said was that Jake should sort out the bill at the counter before he left. As soon as he left, the dark cloud in the room lifted and Amanda's body slowly went back to its normal temperature.
