Not Afraid

"Mrs Cash!" He exclaimed and watched as the woman walked into his apartment majestically. She was the last person he expected to see and hoped to God that she wasn't coming to insult him again. He wasn't sure of how much more he could take from that family.

Mrs Cash surveyed the house once again with her eyes. She could see why her daughter ran away, she would too if she had to live in such a dump. There was absolutely nothing good about the place. It was too small, too empty and even when Jake tried his very best to keep it clean and neat, to Mrs Cash it still looked like a dumpster.

"Mrs Cash, what are you doing here?" Jake asked again when he didn't get a reply the last time. He was not about to be ignored in his own house. He was done letting the Cash walk all over him especially when he knew that they were not worth it.

"Young man, I can hear you," she answered but still didn't meet his eyes.

"Okay, so if you can hear me then please tell me what it is that you are doing here."
