Amanda's driver pulled up at a white apartment building. She had hoped that it won't get to that but she wasn't in control of what happened and what didn't. Her mother had kicked her out and she wasn't going to go back to a man who didn't appreciate her. She was done trying to force herself to fall in love with him. It was about time she embraced her true self, the part of her that did not care about anything and anyone.

She dragged her suitcase up to the third floor with so much pain coursing through her bones. She should have gotten used to it by now. All thanks to Jake, she was exposed to all types of hard labour. Something she never thought she would go through in life. She reached her destination and knocked lightly on the door. A beautiful 27-year-old woman opened the door.

"Can I stay here for a while?" She asked the lady.

"Of course, you can." Bethany pulled her into her arms, engulfing her in a bear hug.

"Mom kicked me out and Jake is just the worse person to live with."
