Reconciliation

Jake didn't take anything that she said to heart and he heard her soft footsteps following him as he walked away. He wasn't going to apologize and neither was she. So they both sat down and watched each other as the car drove them to their apartment. Jake had a lot on his mind and apparently, so did Amanda. None wanted to admit to being wrong and none would allow the choices they made to affect their mood. Jake didn't know when he started acting like them. He didn't know when Amanda's character influenced him and made him act like her but he knew one thing, it had to change. He had to stop being so angry all the time and he wasn't going to achieve that by acting like the one person that pissed him off.

He looked at Amanda whose gaze was focused on the numerous buildings that the other side world presented and he wanted to apologize till he saw from the mirror that she was smiling. What could be tickling her fancy? Was she happy that he was angry at her? Could that be the cause of her
