It didn't take them long to sort out the bill at the counter. The bill wasn't as expensive as Jake had thought that it would be and Amanda was happy that Jake could at least take care of the bills. She had believed that she would have to call her parents to help them. It would have been the biggest embarrassment given to her. She had already told her mom that Jake was a big man who could take care of himself and her without getting anything from them any longer. It would be a slap across the face if she had to put a call through to them to help her with her hospital bills. She sat on one of the waiting chairs comfortably and watched as her husband took care of the bills. She didn't believe that it was possible but she was happy that she would get to enjoy her husband and his money. Finally, she was winning.
