The Beginning

The doctor's office smelled like drugs with a mixture of roses. Jake couldn't help but take a look around his room as he walked in. It was painted blue and like a standard doctor's office, it has a lab coat on a hook, a centre table and two armchairs opposite the doctor's chair. The doctor must be a simple man because he didn't bother to put so much in his office. It was scanty but at the same time, we'll organized.

"I know what you're thinking," the doctor spoke up. "Yeah, everyone gives me the same look once they walk into my office but I just think that having so much stuff in your office serves as a distraction. Imagine having a television set in this office, I would never focus on work and if Oprah should come on, I wouldn't leave this room till it's over."

"It takes discipline to leave doc."

"Well, unfortunately, discipline is not my best suit. Have a seat." He pointed to one of the armchairs in front of him and Jake sat.
