Memories

Our past memories can sometimes sip into our present lives and haunt us. They say it only happens if we allow it, but the question is how do we stop it? How do we control our minds and how can we stay sane when faced with the same situation that broke us in the past?

Sheila stared at the door in pure dread. She had promised herself that she would never step foot again in a hospital room. Since she had watched her brother die in a gruesome way, hospital rooms have become a madhouse for her.

The events were still clear in her head but again, such incidents could actually never be removed. She remembered the look on her brother's face as she looked at him. The look of dread that he possessed as she stared at him. She could sense that he was in a lot of pain, it broke Sheila's heart that she couldn't help him.

Stage three cancer, that was what the doctor said he had. How could someone get to stage three cancer without even knowing it? They had no idea that he was suffering from anything.
