Chapter 57. I Don't Trust Anyone

The car driven by Axell left the yard of the house, which for several months had been a place to rest from all the fatigue of daily activities.

After saying goodbye to everyone, Emily opened the car door next to Axell, wearing a knee-length dress covered with a hoodie on the outside so that it would not be easily recognized by people who might know her.

"Are you going with Ben?" Axell asked, breaking the silence between the two.

"No," answered Emily briefly.

"So where are you?"

"The Bamboo Curtain Country," answered Emily casually as she opened a lollipop.

"Who with?" Axell asked curiously.

"Alone!"

"Why not be with Ben?"

"It's okay; I want to be better. If I were with Ben, my life would be very free," answered Emily.

"Hopefully everything you hope for can be fulfilled, and you will become better," Axell prayed for Emily.

"Hopefully, and don't ever tell anyone my intentions," replied Emily warningly.

"Okay."
