The Imperial family, guards, maids, butlers and priests were shocked by the attributes of the otherworlders.
Half of them had extremely rare attributes and the others, though they had nothing special, their affinities on their attributes were very high.
Indeed, they were all already very strong even though they had just awakened!
There was no doubt that in a few weeks they would be the strongest people in the Empire.
Now, there were still two people left to awaken and the atmosphere was very lively.
"You want to go first, Orion ?"
Austin asked with a smile, causing several girls to blush.
"N-No, it's okay. I will go after you."
Orion also replied with a smile, but there were no blushing girls around but concerned people.
Orion was so different from his classmates that the people of the empire wondered for a second if he was not a random guy from their Empire.
"Okay", Austin nodded and walked toward the stele.
Placing his right hand on it, he waited.
[Austin Lachman, Blue Fire Unique attribute]
"A-Amazing!"
The usual calm Emperor shouted.
They all turned toward him.
The Emperor recomposed himself and spoke.
"Cough...Unique attributes are really rare, so I was surprised."
Unique attributes are derivated from their normal attributes. They are stronger than the normal ones but difficult to control. For example, Liana had a unique attribute. A golden fire capable of healing even serious injuries.
"W-Wow as expected of Austin"
"How unfair! Plot armor, I say!"
Austin's two friends, Jake and Jaxon, supported him.
"Look, Elena, your future husband hit the jackpot!"
Daisy elbowed Elena teasingly.
"Sh-Shut up! Dont' speak s-so loud!"
Elena replied angrily with a blush, but she was somewhat happy and proud.
But two people weren't happy. Andrew and Jordan were glaring daggers at Austin.
Austin, unaware of that, formed a beautiful blue fire in his hand. All the people gasped, it was a very beautiful dark blue fire.
'Now I won't be helpless like before.'
Austin thought as he squeezed the blue fire. Since the incident he had been feeling really pathetic.
He couldn't do anything but watch from the beginning with the driver to the end with Orion.
But now he had the power to defend himself and his classmates until they could go back on Earth.
Fortunately, there was a way to go back to Earth. That's why his classmates could be that cheerful. They were confident that with their newfound power they could easily find a soul relic and go back to Earth.
Of course, several of his classmates were just trying to think about something else to not break. It was another world where danger could hit anytime and their families were not there to support them.
The only solution was to support each other as they were classmates and fellow otherworlders now.
Austin had every intention of helping his friends in this aspect and getting back to Earth with everyone.
"H-Hum Austin ?"
"Hm ?"
Austin turned around to see Orion looking awkwardly at him.
Orion was feeling awkward seeing Austin staring at his palm like thinking about the truth of the universe. His position was very similar to those dramatic heroes in animes and manga...
"A-Ah my bad." Austin, embarrassed, got off of the autel.
"Tsk what a show-off, right brother ?" Vincent sneered at Austin.
Jordan didn't answer to his younger brother, but there was no doubt that he was thinking something worse than him about Austin.
"Then you are the last Lord Orion."
The Emperor said with a smile.
"Y-Yes!"
Before heading toward the stele, he glanced at his only 'friend' if he could call her that, Liana.
The latter, noticing Orion's gaze, smiled gently at him.
Several teeth gritting sounds echoed in the hall at that.
Orion was happy and became more confident. He quickly headed and placed his left hand on the stele.
[Orion.....Kenway, Fix...? Unique attribute]
There was a slight pause in the ethereal voice after saying his name and attributes, but nobody noticed it.
*Gasps*
Everyone in the class was stunned, there was a second person with a unique attribute and it was none other than Orion!
Orion was feeling extremely happy and excited.
'I can't believe this!'
"Hum, Lord Orion ?"
"Yes ?" Orion turned toward the Emperor.
"Can you tell us what your ability is? We haven't seen anything like that until today."
"Ah yes."
Orion replied with a nod.
He was also eager to understand his ability.
He closed his eyes and concentrated.
After the awakening, all the information about his ability will be sent to the brain and Orion was trying to figure out his ability like that.
But the moment he understood what his ability was, his smile vanished from his face.
'Wh-Why...?'
He tried again to concentrate. Maybe he didn't understand his ability, but it was useless. He did understand his ability without doubt.
"Lord Orion ?"
The Emperor called out to Orion, who was strangely silent.
"Y-yes...?"
"Hm...your ability ?"
Orion really wanted to run away, but it would be more pathetic, so he replied with a quivering voice.
"I-I can fix br-broken ob-objects..."
"Eh...?"
Nobody heard him as his voice lowered in the end.
Orion took a deep breath and repeated in a louder voice.
"I can fi-fix broken objects..."
""""...""""
A long awkward silence permeated the hall.
"AAHAHAHA! You heard him Brother! He can fix broken objects! AHAAHA! That's perfect Orion! You will be able to fix our weapons if they are damaged!"
Vincent burst out laughing upon hearing the ability of Orion. His brother Jordan was just looking at Orion like trash. If before he considered Orion like an insect, then now he was even lower than a bug in his mind.
"Pfft!"
"Ahahah!"
"So funny!"
Soon more than half of the class were laughing loudly.
Andrew was trying hard not to laugh but his three friends, John, Tyler and Joseph weren't able to hold back and rolled on the ground.
Orion was red from humiliation and wanted to bury himself in the ground. He didn't dare to look at his classmates or even Liana.
The knights, maids, butlers and priests averted their gazes.
The Imperial family didn't know what to say, though Liana was very angry at Orion's classmates.
For her, Orion was the most gentle and innocent person she had met in her life and mocking someone like him was too much.
"Do-Don't worry Lord Orion, no abilities are useless in our world..."
The Emperor tried to cheer Orion up, but he was just rubbing more salt into the wound.
Orion was looking at the ground with a bitter expression.
'It was obvious for someone like me...I am just an idiot to even have expected something...'
"Lord Orion..." Liana wanted to comfort him but...
"Ahahah! Even his family must be laughing hard!"
"!"
'Orion, you will be someone great in the future'
'My son will be a great man.'
'Big Brother is the best!'
What his family said echoed in his mind again, but it was tearing him apart now.
Soon, tears flowed out profusely from his eyes. Then he ran away from the hall.
The whole hall looked at the figure of the crying Orion running away. Unfortunately, it did not stop the mockery, but there were more. "L-Lord Orion!" Liana tried to chase after him. "Liana leave him." The Emperor stopped her. "B-But father...!" "You have a job as a princess, don't forget." Liana closed her mouth. She was the princess of the empire, so she had to accompany the others heroes in priority. Aura and Austin tried to rebuke the others but it was useless. As for the others who didn't mock Orion, they were just indifferent. "Please heroes." A sweet voice echoed and the mocking stopped. Turning around, they saw Liana looking at them with an award-winning gentle smile. "Please follow me. We will explain to you about our world." Saying that, she walked ahead. Her voice was soft but even an idiot could tell that she was angry. Angry at those who made fun of Orion and those who didn't do anything either. She was the princess of the Empire, so she couldn't rebuke the
The continent of Dreamland was composed of several Empires and Kingdoms. The Solaria Empire, Lunarstella Empire, Nychterin Empire, Ankouna Empire, Niveis Kingdom and Fulgura kingdom. Three groups could be formed inside those countries in enmity with each other. The Solaria Empire, Nychterin Empire and Fulgura Kingdom on one side. The Lunarstella Empire and Niveis Kingdom are on other side. Finally, the great Ankouna Empire on the last side. There may be other continents but it was impossible to reach them due to the huge space rift blocking the way. The Solaria Empire worshipped the God Solas, while the Lunarstella was the Goddess Lunaria. The reason the Goddess Lunaria was considered as heretic was because it was said that she betrayed the God Solas, while in the Lunarstella Empire it was the contrary. Nobody knew what really happened but both Empires chose to defend their gods. "Sigh...there is something strange about their gods." Orion let out a tired sigh as he closed th
"Rion ?""Y-yes...?"He was feeling even more weirder when she called him 'Rion'."Rion are you ...""Your highness."Suddenly, a voice called out to Liana.Turning around, she saw a knight in golden armor, the signature armor of the Solaria Empire."Yes ?""His Majesty called you and Lord Hero. It is time for the training under Lady Riona."The knight replied while glancing at Orion. He had been there since two minutes ago and was shocked by their interactions. They were not in love with each other, so why was it like they were flirting in public?!"I see, let's go Rio...Orion."As expected, even Liana was embarrassed to be watched when they were calling each other by their nicknames."Yes..."Orion stood up with a reluctant face. It was Riona who was training them today. She was extremely strict during their training and Orion was the one suffering the most obviously.Orion and Liana walked in the hallway. The maids, butlers and knights all bowed nobly but frowned upon seeing her wi
Looking at the receding back of Andrew's group, Orion sighed. It was not the first time someone pushed him during his run and it would certainly not be the last he thought. 'They are acting like those typical villains in movies or animes...' Thinking about that, Orion rolled up his pants to his knees. "Ouch!" Blood was flowing out from the wounds of both of his knees. Then he took out bandages from his space ring. During his first meeting with the princess, the space ring was already attached to his finger as it also had a language translation functionality in it. It was thanks to that, he and his classmates could understand this continent's language. But now it was useless as, upon their awakening, they were able to understand different languages without the ring, which was amazing for them. Still, he and his classmates kept the ring for storage functionality. "Orion ?" As he was covering his knees with the bandages, a familiar voice rang out. Looking up, he saw Aura and h
Bam!Austin slid several meters back. His classmates behind him quickly dodged him."Urrghh!" Austin let out a groan.Austin felt a great pain in his left arm, which was red now.Seeing the state of his hand, Austin shook his head."No choice but to use my fire."He wanted to know how he fared without using his blue fire and the result was clear. If he continued like that, he would lose in the next attack. He gripped his sword again with his two hands but this time he channeled his mana."Flare."Sizzzzzle!Blue fire appeared on his hands and it quickly spread on the whole sword. He also put more mana to cover his body."You're finally taking me seriously."Riona uttered. She gave him a good punch to force him to get serious and it worked.Whoosh!Austin jumped at full speed toward Riona.Swish! Swish! Swish! He swung his sword at a very high speed. Orion could see just the afterimage. But Riona parried all of his attacks just with her hands.Or rather she was using her ability to par
If there was one opponent Orion didn't want to fight at all, it would certainly be Jordan.Even back on Earth, Jordan was looking down on him due to their rift on background, but in this world it was even worse.Jordan was looking at him like an insect or even less than that. Obviously, Orion knew it but he ignored it, rather he liked that as he would ignore him at least. But the problem was that Jordan's gaze toward him felt more and more threatening. He was not an expert in this domain, but he felt like Jordan was jealous of him because of his closeness with Liana.Of course, he tried to bury the thought in the back of his mind. If Jordan knew what Orion was thinking, it would be catastrophic.Anyway, because of his glares, Orion chose to avoid Jordan like the pest and it worked quite well, at least until now..."Orion, Jordan, come forward.""Ahahaah! Good luck little Orion!"Vincent, Jordan's brother, laughed loudly at the future match.Vincent was the younger brother of Jordan, s
"I-I do-don't need it..." Orion meant that it was useless for him to use a sword, but Jordan interpreted it in another way. "What did he say ?" Vincent was speechless. "Can't believe it!" "He looked down on Jordan, RIP." "Is he stupid ?" His classmates wondered if Orion had a death wish. "Idiot..." Anna muttered. She knew what Orion meant. That's why she was feeling frustrated by Orion's choice of words. "Man, he's really gonna die at this rate." "He was a good guy..." "Don't talk nonsense guys!" Austin replied to his friends and turned toward Orion. He was still weak from his fight against Riona, but he would stop Jordan in the worst case. Jordan glared at Orion and put more mana on his sword. Sizzle! Whoosh! Jordan closed the distance faster than before. Orion took a step back. Seeing that, Jordan swung his sword. But Orion rolled again, but in Jordan's direction this time. Jordan was surprised, so he missed his attack again. He angrily turned around and... Bam
Elena glared at Daisy and checked Orion's head."Are you okay, Orion ?""Y-yeah, I was just surprised"Orion replied, raising his body and patting his head.Clomp! Clomp! Clomp! The sound of loud steps echoed suddenly."It's not over."A cold voice rang out.Lifting his head, Orion saw the still angry Jordan a few meters away from him.He would have been scary if not for his bloodied nose...Orion quickly shook his head. Jordan would cripple him for life if he didn't run away now.Fortunately, Elena was there.Upon hearing Jordan's words, she stood up and went in front of Orion."Orion can't fight anymore, it's over Jordan."Elena said with a frown.Jordan gritted his teeth seeing Elena defending Orion.'Even Elena now?!'"Move Elena. You healed him, right ? So it's okay.""No! It's over. His mana is depleted now."Jordan ignored her and tried to bypass her."Jordan!"Elena shouted, but he continued."What are you doing, Jordan ?"A voice rang out from behind.Hearing the familiar voi
The Nychterin Empire, once overshadowed by hardship, had transformed into a beacon of power and resilience on the Dreamland continent. This remarkable evolution was a stark contrast to its past, a past marred by the scars of a war that had ravaged the nation hundreds of years earlier. During those tumultuous times, the Nychterin Empire had borne the brunt of the conflict, losing countless knights to the enemy's clutches. The aftermath was even grimmer, marked by a scarcity of labor and, more poignantly, a pervasive sense of desolation that had settled over the populace. Widows mourned, children became orphans, and the Empire seemed to teeter on the precipice of despair. Yet, amid this darkness, a glimmer of hope emerged. The Solaria Empire, a benevolent force, extended a compassionate hand to their beleaguered neighbors. Without seeking recompense, they aided in the Empire's reconstruction and dispatched healers to tend to the wounded souls. Although the specter of gloom lingered, the
“You-You want to take part in the tournament?”Selena stammered, speechless at Aita’s demand.“Yeah.”Aita nodded casually.“Why, suddenly? You told me yesterday you were not interested?”Selena tried her best to keep her calm.“I want the reward.”“!”Shock filled Selena’s face. Did he want the reward? So Princess Evelyn? She couldn’t believe it.“Wh-Why? You already have me…”Selena started to doubt her own worth now. She didn’t want to brag about it, but she considered herself not less beautiful than Evelyn Nychterin. Or maybe Aita liked the innocent-type more?“What?”Aita, as dense as ever, wondered what the hell she was speaking about. He only wanted the second reward, the other part of his spear after all.“Can I use you in need every day? Would you be with me any time?”Aita said in a mocking tone. She wasn’t a weapon after all.“Idiot!”-Thud!Selena threw the cup of coffee in Aita’s face and ran away with a tomato-red face.***“Princess.”“...”“Princess?”“Ah!”Selena brok
“Ahhhh…He’s taking his time.” Daisy yawned as she rubbed her sleepy eyes. More than an hour had passed and Aita still hadn’t come out. She was on the verge of sleeping on the floor but held back. She could wait for Aita. Aita had still saved her best friend and her. “What the hell is he doing?!” Anna, still hidden in the corner, was reaching the limits of her patience. “Anna, seriously, we should go…I really want to sleep…” Isabel leaned on the wall and was on the verge of falling asleep like that. “No! Wait a little mor-” “Daisy?” “““!””” “Le-Lena?” Daisy was surprised to see Elena here. She was sure Elena would play or speak with Aura for a few more hours at least… “What are you doing outside and you will catch a cold like that.” Elena sighed, seeing Daisy standing there in a negligee. Elena was also wearing a blue negligee but she was wearing a jacket on it. “A-Ah, well…” Daisy scratched her head, not knowing what to do. Aita was still inside the room after all. Still,
Late at night, Aita left his room. He wandered in the corridor of the palace aimlessly. The guards roaming around would bow to him upon seeing him, otherwise they would let him. They probably thought he wanted to take a breath of fresh air. After an hour or so, he started to walk toward the section reserved for the girls in his class. Like Daisy had promised, she would leave him in their room. Waiting for the right time, he went to the ladies' side. He made sure to erase any sound of his steps with his wind. He didn’t want to cause another uproar and be labeled with another cringe nickname. He already wanted to erase his memories just thinking about what he was doing. Infiltrating the ladies’ dormitory at night? Anyone would label him as human trash.Reaching the room of Daisy and Elena, Aita knocked on the door. He was having a hard time keeping his face from distorting. All his actions seemed like he was going to sleep with a woman late at night…“Look, Isabel, I knew it!”At the en
“You had a tough day, Aita.”Selena said with a glare. They went back to the palace and the first person who welcomed Aita was Selena. She had an exhausted complexion but she still looked like a perfect princess. Her sapphire eyes were staring angrily at Aita and mostly the knights of Lunarstella. She told them to look after Aita so he wouldn’t do anything, threatening their truce, but they couldn’t do anything. They all averted their faces in shame. They couldn’t tell that Aita at that time was too scary to speak to. More than that, they were also angry at Rex and the others for what they had done.“...”Aita stared at Selena. Her face overlapped with the mature Selena of the recording. Her tears, her sad expression, her helplessness, everything overlapped with the current Selena. He couldn’t understand why that woman he didn’t know at all was making his emotions stir that much. He cared for Selena Luna Lunarstella, but not her great-great-aunt.“Aita?”Selena called out to Aita sinc
“What happened…”Aura asked. Behind her were all her classmates, the knights of Solaria and Lunarstella. They were silently waiting for two people to answer. The two people were, of course, Aita and Elena who, after two days, finally reached the entrance of the rift. Austin, Jake, Jaxon and Daisy had already arrived as well the day before, so everyone was there. Well, everyone except Gaut and Rex, who were killed by Aita. By the way, Bein was sitting with a blank expression in a corner ignoring them. Anyway, most of the stares were gathered on two people. Aita and Elena. Aita had his black mask off but he still had his skin mask, which didn’t please him in the slightest as he felt uncomfortable with it, so his current annoyed expression. Right behind, strangely close to him, was Elena, who seemed to be happy to finally reunite with her classmates.“Nothing.”Aita replied clearly, showing that he was annoyed at her question, and walked ahead. “Hmpf!”Aura harrumphed and went to Elena
“...”“...”Silence reigned in the empty hall. The runes weren’t glowing anymore. Aita and Elena were not speaking. Elena had a pained expression, a little more and she’d have cried. Remembering Selena’s face and her words, she felt despondent for her. She glanced at Aita. He was playing with a little stone. It was the White Crystal that was inside the coffin with the book. The book disappeared as soon as the recording was over. As for the skeleton, Aita had put Selena’s remains inside his space ring. Elena looked at the stone with a complicated expression. She needed four of them to go back on Earth. No. She needed five of them. Four to destroy the space rift, once on the other side, she needed another one to finally reach Earth. In any case, the one in Aita’s hand didn’t belong to her, in the first place, so right now she had nothing.-Gurgleeeee“...”“...”Elena buried her face in her knees, not daring to look at Aita’s current expression. She depleted her mana, so she was exhau
“I am going with the name of Selena Mona Lunarstella. The First Princess of the Great Lunarstella Empire.” Her domineering voice echoed. Looking at her, Aita started to understand why she was hailed as a heroine back then and even now. He could understand how she alone was able to defend Lunarstella from enemies everywhere. She really had the aura of a leader. “I do not know who you are, but I know that you are here with the help of my blood. How many years had gone since the war ? I just hold the hope that my Empire is still there flourishing like it should…” She said in a nostalgic tone. “You, who discovered my tomb. I am going to reveal what I discovered in the hope that you are my blood, or at least someone of my Empire. I gave my spear to my brother so he could give it to his children. I engraved runes on my spear that will serve as key to entering this place when the time will come. I transmitted this emplacement to my brother before leaving the Empire forever.” Selena spoke
“I did nothing! B-Believe me, please!”Elena’s quivering voice kept ringing in the hall. She was speaking to Aita, who was standing, looking at his surroundings. He didn’t seem to care about Elena’s words. Stretching his limbs for a minute, he removed his shirt.“Ah! W-What are you doing, Lord Aita?!”Elena turned her head away with a flushed face.Aita ignored her and took out a new white shirt and put in on while making sure to hide his pendant so Elena wouldn’t see it. He glanced at the ground and saw the silver spear. Stooping down, he took the spear. As usual, it looked like a newly crafted spear as its silver color shone with purity. Swinging the spear a few times, he turned around. Elena was looking at him nervously.“How long have I been out?”He asked. Vivid memories of Artemis were still present in his mind. Memories he shouldn’t have as he wasn’t even born at that moment. Why had he the memories of other people? Anyway, it felt like years had passed, so he wanted to know.
