Chapter 3

The police officers stared at Ryan as silence enveloped the atmosphere for several minutes.

"Ryan you're under arrest for assaulting Gerald Lane a respected citizen of this nation!" The officers hollered.

One of the officers who had a brawn look took the handcuffs and cuffed Ryan as he remained silent.

Ryan didn't struggle with the officers as they took him out of the restaurant.

"You're fired Ryan!" His boss blazed his voice as it resonated.

Ryan couldn't look at him right now he was too saturated with fear to do anything.

"Serves ya right loser!" Gerald Lane hollered disdainfully.

Daniella watched as Ryan was taken away by officers but for some reason she felt bad, she knew deep down that Gerald Lane had created all of this to deal with Ryan.

"Lets depart from here Gerald!" Daniella uttered as she took up her golden purse.

Gerald dusted himself and followed the beautiful Daniella as they left the restaurant.

Colton City Police Station.

A black jeep arrived infront of the a building properly illuminated with white lights, as officers walked around the station.

This was Colton City's finest police division it wasn't too far from Diamond University, the officers in this division were quite experienced.

The Jeep's door flung open as Ryan walked out with an officer, and the others followed taking him into the station and he was put behind the counter.

Other officers looked in shock as they saw the young bloke in cuffs.

"Mr Ryan you could lose your education at Diamond University because of this." The brawn looking officer uttered.

"Please sir I don't want to lose my education if I'm convicted I'll lose all my years of hardwork, and the university will rusticate me." Ryan pleaded as he snapped out of his silence understanding the grave consequences that followed.

Ryan had been silent as he tried to process everything that'd occured to him, he'd lost his girlfriend along with humiliation at his workplace by Gerald Lane.

Ryan even thought of his job loss and what could happen to his education along with his academic achievements.

'How will I handle things financially?' Ryan questioned internally.

"Mr Ryan we could let you off the hook if you pay a 2000$ fine of course,if you don't have the money then we'll take it further." The brawn looking officer said lacking any form of emotion.

Ryan properly observed that the brawn looking officer was Inspector James as he read his name, which was attached to his uniform.

"I'll pay just remove the cuffs." Ryan calmly said.

Officer James removed the handcuffs and gave him the account number of the police.

Ryan was handed his phone as he tapped the bank icon, and his bank account balance stared at him.

It was exactly 2000$ he had saved in his bank account.

Ryan felt his heart tighten as he considered the things he'd saved the cash for.

Ryan heaved a sigh and then made the transfer, as the bank app gave a green tick showing it'd been transferred.

"It's done." Ryan uttered.

In five minutes it reflected in the account ot the police account.

"It's been paid, well young fellow you've been set free." Inspector James declared.

The other officers immediately left Ryan alone, as Ryan departed from the station with his head cast down.

'How will I pay my debt of the money I borrowed? How will I go on living?' Ryan inquired internally as he walked away from the station.

Ryan walked back to the university as his mind was filled with questions and a barrage of them.

Buzz!

Ryan's phone vibrated in his pocket as he brought it out and saw a unknown number on his screen.

Ryan reluctantly accepted the call.

"Hello is this Young Master Ryan?" An eloquent voice inquired.

Ryan was shocked he thought it was a prank call.

"Look I don't know who you are but If this is a prank stop it." Ryan replied.

"Is your name Ryan Goldway?" The eloquent voice inquired.

"Yes that's my name." Ryan replied.

"Oh then you're indeed Young Master Ryan no worries I'm aware of your location." The voice uttered.

"But what is...

Ryan's words were cut short by a quick reply by the voice on the other side of the phone.

"You'll soon know everything!" The voice concluded as the call hung up.

Ryan was wondering what'd happened just now but before he could move any further a vehicle halted behind him.

Ryan turned about to see a sleek and modern vehicle black in colour, it was truly stunning, he moved to the side of the road as the vehicle's door opened.

A matured man stepped out and he exuded an aura of wealth and importance he moved towards Ryan and halted his movement.

"Hello Ryan let me introduce myself I am Collins McDunn a butler to the esteemed Goldway family." The matured man introduced.

Ryan was stunned and felt frozen at the spot.

"I know it's a lot to process but I assure you I'm not here to hurt you, you're actually a very important individual and you'll soon understand everything." Collins eloquently stated.

"But how?" Ryan quizzically asked.

"I understand kindly join me in the vehicle." Collins pointed towards the rear door.

Ryan walked towards the vehicle and entered into it as he sat on the comfortable seat.

Ryan was impressed with the amazing decor coupled with the high tech system in the vehicle.

Collins entered into the driver's seat after shutting the rear door.

The vehicle's engines roared as the vehicle drove off, as it's light beamed on the well lit streets.

"Young Master Ryan I'm so pleased that after all this years, we found you your grandfather would love to see you." Collins commented.

Collins voice was quite mature and his accent was British but he could switch to American at will, he indeed was cultured.

Ryan noticed all of this.

"Wait my Grandfather?" Ryan quizzed.

"Yes your grandfather and oh boy you'll love to meet him, don't worry you'll soon know everything." Collins Concluded as the vehicle drove.

Goldway Mansion

After ten minutes, the vehicle entered into a palatial mansion it was beautiful Ryan through the window adored the garden with its own water fountain.

It also had guards surrounding the perimeter it looked like the abode of a Monarch one decked with abundance.

The vehicle halted and Collins exited the vehicle as he opened the door for Ryan to come out.

Ryan came out and adored the house once more as he was lost in it's splendour.

"Young Master Ryan all these and more you'll enjoy to the fullest." Collins commented as they journeyed into the house.

The red doors flung open as one would be greeted with sweet smells showing the hall had been perfumed by air fresheners containing lavender.

Ryan followed Collins into a luxurious bedroom.

"Here is where you'll be resting your head for the night and oh as for your clothes you can go shopping tomorrow." Collin said noticing the young man was still in his work clothes.

"When will I meet my Granddad?" Ryan inquired as he'd scanned the room visually.

"Currently your Grandfather is overseas he should be back by tomorrow evening, then you can meet him." Collins replied politely.

"Oh one more thing once you're awake I'll come and handover some essential things to you." Collins Concluded as he exited the bedroom.

The bedroom had a large bed with a white quilt and a several lights illuminated the room, there was also a small shelf filled with books along with a water dispenser along with disposable cups.

"This is truly luxurious!" Ryan praised the beauty of his new abode.

Ryan quickly removed his clothes and left his singlet and boxers.

Ryan took out his phone and kept it on the reading table.

Ryan then climbed into the bed as he laid on the bed and it was very comfortable with two fluffy pillows.

"Who knew that this was how today was going to end?" Ryan inquired as he had a smile on his face.

Ryan the turned then dimmed the lights as he used the controls on the wall to do so.

Ryan then properly hugged the comfortable pillows and slept like a baby.

Then serenity and peace enveloped the luxurious room.
