Chapter 4

The guards immediately rushed toward the gates upon realizing who was honking, their arrogant demeanor with Ethan completely gone.

Ethan considered continuing on his way inside but decided to wait, watching and the guards did their work with utmost respect and diligence.

A convoy populated with limited edition jeeps drove in and parked a few meters away from Ethan before suited men armed with guns and wearing shades jumped down and lined up beside the car at the center of the convoy.

A second later the door was opened by one of the suited men, revealing an incredibly beautiful woman wearing a beautiful red gown and minimal makeup.

She looked like a fairy as she got down and glanced around.

The guards immediately rushed to greet her. “We pay homage to the daughter of the Goldberg family.”

The woman didn't respond as her eyes landed on Ethan, scrutinizing the man as he did the same to her.

Noticing that she hadn't replied, the guards followed her gaze before cursing inwardly as they glared at Ethan.

“Are you stupid or are your legs not working, you fucking beggar?... Get on your knees and pay homage!” One of the guards scolded in annoyance.

Ethan raised a brow. “Why?”

Before the guards could reply, the girl inquired. “Who are you?”

Ethan shrugged. “Just a customer of TnC here to check on his account. Unfortunately, these clowns didn't let me in.”

“You have an account here?” The woman couldn't be more shocked as she further scrutinized Ethan.

From his dirty clothes to the flip-flops he wore, he was the definition of poverty yet he dared to claim he had an account with TnC.

She was tempted to directly send him to the police station for constituting a nuisance but his confidence got her curious.

“Look, this bank only caters to the upper echelons of society, not people like you. Do you know how much is needed to open an account?... 3 million dollars and that's just a down payment. Have you ever seen a thousand dollars talk more of a million?”

Ethan rolled his eyes. “I know that so can I go in now?”

“...” The woman furrowed her brows before gesturing to a guard who quickly handed over her phone.

She placed a call and within minutes the person on the other end arrived.

A middle-aged man soon arrived accompanied by his assistant.

“Ms. Louisa, I wasn't expecting you today.”

Ignoring his words, she inquired. “Does this man have an account with us?”

The man glanced at Ethan. “I'd think I'd know when we started giving out charity, Ms. Louisa.”

“Yet he claims to have an account with us.”

“Oh please, do away with his nonsense. I'll have him kicked out immediately.”

As the middle-aged man spoke, he gestured to the guards who immediately moved to apprehend Ethan.

Ethan didn't bother to struggle, his expression the epitome of calm as he intended. “I had no idea this was how TnC treated its customers. In that case, I'll make sure to take my business elsewhere.”

The guard snorted. “Just shut up. Spouting absolute rubbish.”

Louisa met Ethan's gaze before ultimately remarking. “Mr. Albert, please do check and confirm if this man does have an account with us.”

“But, Ms. Louisa…”

“Just do it. It won't take more than a minute, would it?”

“Not at all. Please give me a moment.” The middle-aged man gestured to his assistant who immediately did the check then he glanced at Ethan.

“What's your name?”

“... Ghost.” Ethan calmly replied, not even reacting as weird gazes were sent his way.

Unbeknownst to them, Ethan had just named his character on his channel.

He no longer wished to be regarded as Ethan Jones, at least not until he had cleared his name.

Until then, he would remain as a ghost!

“Are you sure?” The middle-aged man questioned, clearly upset about having to take this clown seriously.

“Of course, why would I lie?”

“You better not…”

“Found it.” The assistant remarked causing everyone to go silent.

Ethan managed a smile as he remarked. “What did you find, Ms. Assistant?”

“... I've found his account, Ghost. It's registered with a sum of 10 million dollars and was created today, a few hours ago to be exact.” The assistant explained even as confused gazes bored down on her.

Soon enough, the middle-aged man took the tab she carried and checked himself, only to confirm her words.

There was an account with the name Ghost!

“This…”

Ethan smirked as he shrugged off the guards holding him.

The guards were also stunned as they exchanged looks with one another.

This man that looked like a beggar was a millionaire?... How was that even possible?

“Mr. Ghost, I apologize for the inconvenience you have suffered,” Louisa remarked sincerely only for Ethan to shrug.

“I don't care. At least, I now know just how TnC treats its customers.”

“That is hardly the case, Mr. Ghost.” Louisa quickly intoned. “Let us make it up to you.”

“How?”

“How about a Customized Black Card?... Also, your account would be upgraded free of charge, and most importantly, we would make you one of our prime customers.”

Ethan raised a brow, not expecting such generosity from Louisa.

“I don't need hand me downs, if I need a black card, I'll get one myself, same with your other offers.”

“Then…”

“No need to make any half-assed offers, Ms. Goldberg. I will be taking my leave now, thank you.”

With that, Ethan turned and left, leaving behind a mysterious aura that caused Louisa to grow curious about his true identity.

Taking a moment to recover, she ordered her subordinates. “Find out who that man is.”
