Chapter 13 : The Legend of Goowasp

Goowasp turns out to have a size that doesn't match Spike's estimates. It is about the size of a watermelon. It's just that the flapping of the wings behind it looks weird. Instead of moving from top to bottom, but sideways from left to right.

His skin was wrinkled, and with baggy eyes reminded him of elder people.

His teeth were shiny silver fangs like sharp thorns. However, that's the only factor that makes him look dangerous. The rest, not at all. Spike is very confident that the monster is very easy for him to beat.

“Hudson... You really underestimated me. You think I'd have a hard time-fighting flies like this?”

“Goo…” The creature whispered again softly.

Spike ran, getting ready to jump and pummel the monster any second.

"Sorry friend. I'm sure that you hate your own existence. But don't worry, I will end your suffering!”

Spike punched the monster with his steel arm. Completely like a watermelon, the monster's body was crushed from the inside out. His own blood was blue with no visible internal organs at all.

Spike's feet hit the ground again. He was disappointed, having ended the fight so quickly.

“Hudson should have sent 1000 such monsters. So that I can have a lot of Credit Points.

He cleaned Spike's right hand and part of his body which was filled with blue blood with his left hand. Luckily he was still wearing his prison uniform, so his body didn't get dirty from it.

But then seconds passed Spike was vomiting blood. There were so many of them that they were coming out of their noses and eyes.

"What! What happens to me!" Spike shouted panic and fear.

He didn't feel that he received any attack from the monster just now, but why did he have such a fatal attack?

Spike glanced back at the Goowasp. Realized that the monster was still not as dead as he thought.

Instead, the monster was moving in a strange manner now. From her tiny body Grow new hands, feet, and head. Similar to a human head.

"Impossible! How can that monster still survive my punch!”

“Goowasp…” whispered the monster more clearly. He had also managed to say his full name now…

Spike thought hard. What makes the monster seem to evolve so quickly, adding new organs in its body along with what makes Spike able to vomit so much blood.

When Spike saw the blue blood of the monster, Spike's intuition immediately worked. "Simply and solely. This must be caused by the blood of that monster!”

With a more perfect body, Goowasp moves to try to attack Spike now. The monster enjoyed the feeling of having all of its senses working properly. A feeling he couldn't enjoy before.

Spike dodges every attack from Goowasp. If even in its chrysalis form the monster was truly dangerous, he had no idea how terrifying Goowasp's form in its more perfect form would be now.

Goowasp's movement using its hands and feet is not comparable to the speed that Spike has. The Monster's speed was the same as a baby still trying to crawl now.

Frustrated that all of his melee attacks have been avoided, Goowasp stabs himself, drawing out his blue blood. With the clot, he tried to spread it toward Spike who was there.

Surprisingly, the blue bloodshot was like a projectile. Very fast and not easy to dodge.

Inside the arena, there is a pillar that has collapsed. Spike takes cover there so as not to be hit by the monster's blood.

Spike had no idea what would happen if he ever touched the monster's blood again. For now, Spike is actually starting to get tired and weak because of how much blood he has lost.

Spike believes that the monster has weaknesses, just like him. Only, he still didn't know what his weakness was.

I'm sure the cause of Goowasp's evolution must have had a hand in it me. Wait, is it possible that the monster absorbed my blood when I hit it? So that's what caused it to evolve so quickly?

1 minute has passed. Goowasp still shoots with his blood which makes almost the entire Arena blue because ofit. But for some reason, this monster seems to have no limit to the blood that it emits.

A brilliant idea has come to Spike's head. And he will try to end it right now.

Spike emerges from the rubble of the pillar. Trying to ambush the Goowasp.

Spike's actions were very risky. Because Goowasp could have just shot him on his way out. But Spike had considered the possibility.

He's facing Goowasp now. And that monster, stop shooting with its blood.

"Why? Why don't you shoot poison in your blood now?”

Goowasp?

“I know, you probably have the mental equivalent of a 2-month-old now. You may not understand what I'm saying either. But you acted by using your instincts too much. You don't have infinite blood, and you have exceeded your own limits.”

“Goowasps!” The monster shouted angrily as if it knew what Spike was saying.

Aided by the wings behind his back, Goowasp moves around and tries to attack Spike using his newly acquired arms and legs.

Spike kept walking at a leisurely pace, facing the monster in front of him.

Before the Goowasp can hit it, Spike hits the monster first in the stomach.

Spike's punch was so hard that it made a hole in Goowasp's stomach. And just as he predicted, there was no blood contained in Goowasp's body at this time.

“You are too early to be able to fight me. Be thankful that I ended your suffering so quickly like now…”

The Goowasp fell, with the corpse being immediately knocked to the ground by Spike.

Without further ado even though there were no cheers to greet him, Spike still clenched his fists up. A sign that he had won that too-easy battle right now

“Hudson! Next time don't give me your experimental monsters! Give me your strongest monster!” Spike shouted for a challenge.

Spike walked back inside the gate that was before now. Maybe starting today, he should get used to fighting out of nowhere monsters like that someday...
