The path which Eric had taken in order to retrieve the item that caught his attention was truly a dead end as presumed. In a matter of a few minutes, Zach was now able to sight what Eric had foreseen and now he was able to understand what he had said before. The joy he got was so great that his speed increased because with their destination in view, there was hope of escaping as they now knew with evidence that their movement was not in vain. As they approached the exit of the cave, that was when they were able to hear the roaring voice of the dragons. This time the roar was so great and fierce, able to freeze their in thought that the dragons were near. But this roar was coming at the wrong time because the exit of the cave was already in view. At the time when Zach could see that the fire was still burning, but he was not feeling the vexed heat, he now looked at Eric with a smile knowing fully well that was his handwork. The fact they were not getting any scent to track was frustrating to them, they kept wondering what could be the reason for them not getting a track and it appeared to be caused by two options based on their level understanding. When the king marched out with his army to defend the city of Raychester, he noticed something strange and useful to their advantage from the particular dragon in the city, and that which was noticed was the dragon does not know its way around the country nor how to face such a great number of army at a time. When the fight in the various cities against the dragons went on, other cities were not aware that the situation they faced were also faced by other cities at the same time. The cities in particular that were under this attack were the cities of Raychester, Warcton Fortress, Cliffsage, Bellbay and Northby which explained why the dragons could not last a fight against them because those were the major and stronger cities of the human race. So now that the fight was brought to a halt by the retreating of the dragons, the people were full of confusion, needing answers which was very crucial because from what they knew before now, they were being attacked by a particular dragon which they were sure was dead and burnt to ashes. They all wanted to know where those dragons came from and why they had been hiding all these while only to attack the cities. When they arrived at Warcton fortress, Prince Ethan Cole was about to journey back to the city of the King to report to his father about the dragon which was caught by his elder brother and general Morgan. It took almost over five hours before the detective in charge of interrogating the suspect came out to meet Eric Claus and Chase Stevens in the police station. "I thought you were asked to leave?" he asked, to my surprise. His question called their attention, so they looked up in shock but without fear since they had committed no offense by staying. “Just before you woke up,” Chase began, “He told Lauren and I that he would be removing you from life support because his test showed that you would never wake up again. But upon coming to see you in the ward, we found you awake, that is to say he has found out that you would be waking up any time soon so he wanted to prevent it from happening. When I asked him how it was possible that someone who he presumed to never wake up again was awake and sound, he said he didn’t know and would do some research that would explain it scientifically. The doctor ran another test on Eric Claus early the next morning to confirm whether he was fully fit to leave the hospital and still his results were positive that he did not see any other reason to keep Eric there in the hospital. So he had to break the good news about his discharge so he could prepare to go home. The monitor attached to Eric Claus began to beep loudly, alerting the nurses and medical personnel nearby to hurriedly come check on him and find out what was the cause of the sudden beeping of the monitor. The first nurse that ran in noticed his temperature was burning beyond normal and it was something beyond her skills so she rushed out to call the doctor in charge of his treatment while another nurse that followed after her tried to stabilize the situation pending the doctor’s arrival. In a few minutes the doctor came in to check on him and saw that it was more than a normal burning for someone in his condition, and something he hasn’t seen before throughout his entire career, but that was not going to prevent from running some quick test on him.
