"You must be Jamie." The man smiled and gestured to a seat next to him.

"Come come sit down sit down!"

He was very excited to get this trade over with and make profits.

All of Gabriel's courage vanished as he went to sit down in the seat he was tense.

"So!" The guy went to collect another bottle of beer. "I assume you're here to collect the goods?"

Gabriel nodded, still looking around the place a bit nervously.

"Great place huh?"

Gabriel looked startled when the man spoke but he responded.

"Yeah, it's awesome."

The man took note of Gabriel's nervousness and laughed.

"Don't worry, I won't bite."

The man got up and headed to the back of the room it was covered by even more curtains…truly a place for gaming hippies-

"I assume you'd want to leave as soon as possible so here-"

He dropped a crate full of the stolen items.

Gabriel watched in awe as he looked through all the expensive tech in the crate.

"Believe it or not this is only 00.01% of the actual stuff they stole.

"They?" Gabriel got interested and so did Tom who was listening using the secret speaker Gabriel had.

"Yeah I don't know the supplier but he sent us a bunch of crates to sell out and return 50% to him! It's like a pyramid scheme but more beneficial to us because we get to name the price and no one would turn down A-grade tech and cheat disks like these."

Gabriel looked down into the crate and took out one of the stuff inside.

It had a blue and black color scheme the blue being lines that stretched across it like wires it looked to be a gaming glove the drifters use for hand-to-hand games like boxing.

Miku and I were enjoying ourselves, totally forgetting the reason we came here. We scored big though.

I betted on Miku every game and we won tons! Even a few stuff people threw in because they had no money and hoped to make some money to pay off their debt/rent and we took that happily. (:D)

Miku was putting the stuff in the bag one by one.

"Ugh..an iPhone 12? This guy was the definition of old." She tossed it to the side.

"Yeah that's definitely broken-" I said watching it fly and hit the ground.

"This one looks a lot like one of the stuff that got stolen." Miku held up a blue and black headgear. The straps were blue and everything else was black.

I shrugged.

"Either way it's going in the bag!"

"Heck yeah!" Miku and I high-fived each other. We finally have something we have in common that we like more than anything scamming people!

Well.. scamming is a strong word. We just challenge terrible players knowing full well that Miku will win cause she's quite literally number 1.

"Huh that's weird." something for me felt out of place but I don't know what-

"What's wrong?" Mai looked at me confused but a feeling of dread kicked in when I remembered what was wrong.

"Where is Gabriel??"

Gabriel received a phone call from Miku but it was on silent and kept ringing until it stopped

Miku tried again but the same thing happened.

"I'll be going with this now-" Gabriel said, lifting up the boxes to get ready to leave as he reached the exit the man stopped him.

"Hey wait!"

Gabriel turned around to look at him and saw he had a look of confusion on his face as if Gabriel had forgotten to do something.

"My money? Where is it?"

Gabriel was sweating bullets he didn't know anything about money.

"Shit! Send them in!!" Tom shouted from the base allowing an army of troops to enter the building.

"You were followed??" The man got mad and aimed for a gun and Gabriel shot him in the arm. When he got shot he fell to the ground holding his wound for dear life the crate broke and all the equipment fell to the ground.

"You fool! Are you trying to ruin everything we worked for!?" Gabriel tried to back up but the pain in his arm was too much he could only struggle.

"What the hell is going on!?" Miku shouted over the crowd who were running and shoving to get away from the cops.

"I don't know but we need to find Gabe!" I'm a terrible friend. How could I let something like this happen?

I tried to push through the crowd but I kept falling short. I was pushed and shoved more times than I could count. It was a nightmare.

Miku tried to help me but she was easily overwhelmed by the crowd also.

We were grabbed and dragged out of the building by the police officers but we couldn't get to Gabe.

The man pointed the gun at Gabriel to finish him off but before he could pull the trigger he was overwhelmed and held down by all of the cops that entered the room.

Gabriel was also escorted out from the building where we were waiting for him.

He looked sad for some reason but I was just glad he was ok .. besides being shot in the arm.

Miku ran up to hug Gabriel.

"You ok?? Where were you??"

"Ow! Ow! Get off me!" Gabriel pushed Miku back.

"Since when do you care if I'm alright or not-" He looked like he was about to cry but that was probably because of the pain he was feeling.

Miku was left speechless as Gabriel walked past us and into the car still holding his wound.

"We can get that patched up for you before you go home-" Tom offered and Gabriel just nodded looking out of the window.

Safe to say Both me and Miku I felt like garbage.

When we got back home the sun was raising its head again which only means one thing...

Mommy dearest was home and she was waiting for us.

"Where were you three??" she asked us, furious as ever.

We looked at each other and sighed simultaneously cause we all knew we were gonna in for a long talk.

"So let me get this straight... You were not only put under house arrest but have to prove your innocence before you get sent to jail…" My mom held her head in shame and the rest of us remained quiet.

"What am I going to do with you guys? It was bad enough that you were on house arrest missing days/ weeks of college…Haru, and Gabriel you two are going to have to redo the semester-... That's more money than both me and your parents have-"

Her words started to crack from the tears she held back.

"And Haru…." I looked up at her as my name was called.

"Where did I go wrong with you…. Not a single day in your life you did do anything that made me proud your grades were average you used to skip school- I was constantly worried about your future…When you said you wanted to go to college I was overjoyed but also worried for you and now all my money- all that work to get you in all that studying you did- where is it going to leave us?"

"I-..." I tried to speak but my mom won't let me.

"I don't want to hear it-"

She pointed upstairs.

"Go…"

We all left the dinner table and headed to our rooms Gabriel immediately went into his sleeping bag and was probably feeling really crappy right now…I was too-

"Gabriel …aren't you going into your favorite dinosaur suit before sleeping?" This wasn't like him but he probably just forgot.

"No- I'm good-"

DEAR GOD, HE'S DYING!!!

"Oh-....ok." I jumped on my bed and heard a notification come to my phone.

I opened it and I saw Miku texted me-

That's weird I never gave her my number...

"So why are you texting him all of a sudden?" Eli asked intrigued.

"None of your damn business!" Miku snapped at Eli.

"Ok- I just thought I'd have a decent conversation with you that isn't just us yelling all the time-"

Haru - "hi"

"He texted!" Miku exclaimed, putting all her focus on her phone.

Miku- "sorry about your mom…she shouldn't have yelled at you like that-"

Haru- "Yeah I'm fine she was stressed I get it- I should've done better."

They messaged for a while talking about funny experiences and some pretty random stuff-

Haru- "ok imma go to bed now... Good night."

Haru- "Well…good morning."

Haru- "Miku."

Miku-"call me Miya. Miku is the name my fans know me by"

Haru- "Miya- .. i like it ^-^"

logged off and Miya was extremely excited she couldn't contain herself-

"Miku and Haru sitting in a tree." Eli started to tease her before he was met with a pillow to the face.

The room was silent for a good while before both of them started laughing.

Today's mission was…successful?
