Chapter 20
Distance doesn't matter if you can see through a sense that is beyond the six science knows or acknowledges. This very sense does not equate to anything physics theoretically can prove or cannot. Believing is not as simple as having blind faith, but if you experience it as your reality even though little to nobody can have the same thing, then Trust would rather keep it to a theory in mind.
But, because it happens in real-time and it's the now, he cannot do anything but utilize it the best. When they approached a street, blocks ahead from the others as scouts, he and the rest considered they were lucky to be alerted of the Primer and what seemed to be its posy of humans. Sending a signal to stop or surprise this group was not their option, and the next best is to sneak away to a new path.
Belle, who lead them, gave them the signal to carefully back away. Making their way through the corner they promptly turned left to this
The two listened to Pyko as he full-on complained in a way that would seem harmless, but it was him and his tense self with a skyrocketing pressure from how Trust looked like he was alright but the presence of blood stated otherwise. Minutes only took for captain Vince and his crew to dive into an unsettling discovery that their map might not be useful in the long run to get to the house. Which, was promptly rebut by Betts. There was no way she didn’t know or feel how Trust knows of things around him, but the level of her heightened senses is dull compared to him. This doesn’t mean trying was out of the option, thus she volunteered to act as a guide, much as Trusts did. The vote for confidence on her part was met with retaliation but Trust pushed for it himself, saying she knew more than he did because she lived here. His words were deemed not enough but what other choice do they have, during this turn of events, they had to regroup their scouts to captain
Horaz wildly comments in his mind that he feels an urge of wild disgust reaches inside of him, there was either envy or a form of jealousy that wields his mind whenever he saw Betts. Nothing of it was any kind of obsession, affection, or romance, but he can simply tell she is of high stock like that of Perri. There is the attraction he cannot deny. His mind bolstered past the wall and rock it trapped itself when her presence emerged from nowhere, but she belonged to Trust, and showed in his actions. Even her smell stunk of Trust, or what he perceived as the way Trust smells.Between this very thought of Horaz and Perri managing to stamp down her wandering lust towards Trust, of all people, she knew Horaz was experiencing the same kind of struggle. The least the both of them can hope for is to not succumb to Betts and Trust, who seem to not even regard their existence as anything but mere side character to their world. On the note of the side character, Lena elbowed eve
A2 consists of the previous members that remained with the addition of four new ones, making them a ten-man team. They've discussed dividing their teams into two until they get past the graveyard site. Entering the location was easy due to the weird blind spot the graveyard created, creating a passthrough sewer way through its high wall. The surrounding trees are thin but able to cover their foliage by spreading their leaves like a waterfall outside.Parting one section of this would show someone the way inside through that sewer through the thick wall leading to the crowded part of the cemetery. One is located in the southern sector while the other is in the eastern part, near the south that leads to the rich mortuaries. The southern one has a lot of apartment-type graves, rows upon rows, fairly hiding the rest of that part of the cemetery. From there they used hover camera’s the best way by corners monitored, in case any kind of Primer groups settled in their w
The tandem they aimed was to sacrifice their selves to be the focal point of the enemy Primer, it warrants an unknown fate for both, which Trust and Betts calculated can happen that's why they made sure to stay behind in the hopes of helping them escape. Pushing their other comrade forward, Dr. Munar including the other three were pushed by the front defender as he led them past the sewer gate, letting everyone else pass through.Another moment would have given Trust and Betts, both last to reach the sewer, but a Primer latched itself onto Betts's scent and tried pouncing on her. The creature did not reach her before Trust's tail tore its body in half with the force of a speeding-ton truck. The body in two splattered on the entranceway of the sewer, blocking it in partial, then continues to be blocked when Trust sliced another enemy in half as an onslaught of Primers groggily aimed for Betts. The last Team A2-front defender found himself blocked off from the remaining

Though Prof. Tenorio stood behind the screen of the surveillance of both the southern area and the camp, he could not maintain his full focus when he anticipated the arrival of the rescue team and his fellow Good Will members. The last recon message was that teams have been divided to lead each group to a safe pickup point. Two of the five teams have reported safely exiting through their chosen paths, securely delivered here in the camp. Cristian and Akyl are back and resting with the others who were civilians they found as willing escapees of the city.Though not an ideal place for them to stay, Prof. Tenorio later pushed the two to rest in the second camp where the other survivo
Perri’s warning didn’t stay long though as the Primer pushed through Horaz, puncturing his side, and reaching for Perri and Bernice. The creature pulled the two girls from the jeep after jumping off, it seemed like its goal was met as it growled. Sniffing at what it held, the two girls hugged each other, cushioning the pain of being compressed by a thick hoof. Both could feel the creature squeeze them without consideration or hold them tighter in warning, try any other thing but escape. The growl turned into a mightier roar mixed with purring coming from its chest. Perri is aware of the sudden change in its demeanor as it showed signs of interest to her most. Holding Bernice for dear life, she whispered to her in a shivering voice. “I’m—I’m sorry...you sho—shouldn’t have been—”Bopping their foreheads together in a light manner caught Perri by surprise that she stopped talking. She looked at Bernice whose chee
Skies have never been silent to anybody’s ears. To them, they could hear the wind or ground move. Footsteps echo as they approached the Primer’s limp body. Nearby, from one of the jeeps, Trust stood to the side and felt the sudden coldness that enveloped Horaz. During the short time, he’s been near the boy, he’s come to form a connection. Not enough to call a bond, but something akin to camaraderie in a budding sense. There was a lump in his throat as the simmering rage Horaz began with simmered down and transferred strongly to the person he considered his partner, Perri. He couldn’t see where she was, but he knew she was in immense physical pain or worse, considering that she was in the grasp of the Primer enemy. He was using his abilities to protect them from attracting Primers coming from the hoard towards the direction of the civilians with him. If the enemy Primer felt it or not, he had little time to assess since his priority was to
Pushing each a team of soldiers, he orders them to infiltrate the center who was the two girls in the middle of the fray. Easily discerned from their point of view because Perri and Bernice were the only two who are unharmed, including the body of the in-coma Primer.Dr. Munar steadily felt his soul shudder as he stopped Prof. Tenorio. “This isn’t right...I’ve never seen this happen? The affected survivors are awake, intent on killing us.”“Surprising,” Prof. Tenorio drily said. “The girls are in the middle of this chaos without harm. There’s no point trying to figure out where the source of the Primer control is, it’s that girl.”Dr. Munar watched from their distance, the blurred forms of the girls under the sunny sky. He couldn’t discern what Prof. Tenorio saw, but he knew it was not something any of them can confirm without further investigation. Reaching an impasse is not an allowable matter a
