Chapter 13: Fire Ball

It's been 7 days since the test took place, at this time in one of the woods stood a boy around 10 years old. He was staring at a tree in front of him very seriously.

The boy immediately stirred up the mana flow in his body. After a while the boy shouted, "Fireball!"

A stream of mana concentrated after the boy cast a spell and formed a fist-sized fireball. The boy immediately raised his hand and pointed at the tree in front of him, "go ahead."

The fireball was thrown towards the tree at an extremely fast speed. Then after that the fireball touched the tree, there was a loud explosion sound. At this time the tree in front of the boy was burning very quickly. Then slowly the tree moved backwards and immediately fell due to the explosion of the fireball fired by the boy just now.

Seeing the fallen tree and burnt to the ground, the boy smiled and was quite satisfied with the results of his training so far.

The boy just now who shot the fireballs was none other than Harry. During this time of test, he had trained so hard that now he could finally use this level 0 fireball magic. During the previous training Harry spent almost all of his time practicing using magic except for the time eating, drinking and sleeping.

This made Harry very satisfied with his hard work which finally brought satisfying results. Although now Harry can only bring out a fireball, but Harry is quite confident with the power generated by the fireball.

Because Harry only used fireballs and the fireball explosion was enough to bring down a tree.

Especially if the fireball attacks other people, Harry is sure that if the fireball hits one of the students taking this test then Harry can beat them with just this one fireball attack.

During this week Harry had not only studied fireball magic. He also studied minor healing magic. By now, Harry had been able to heal some light wounds using a little healing magic. Harry slowly walked closer to the tree that had fallen due to the fireball magic he was doing. Harry could see that almost the entire tree was covered in black parts of the tree from the previous burn. In fact, almost all the leaves on the tree had been scorched by fire.

After making their way near the tree Harry stretched out his hand and pointed again at the tree. As before, mana from Harry's body was starting to pour out but this time it was gathering around his palm. The mana around Harry's palm slowly turned into a fairly bright light. He then cast a magic incantation, "Small healing magic."

Slowly the white light in Harry's hand began to flow towards the fallen tree. The white light moved to cover all the wounds on the tree due to being burned by Harry's fireball magic earlier. Not long ago, the wounds on the tree began to decrease due to the white light that enveloped it.

Even the leaves on the trees started to grow again, after a while the parts of the tree that were previously black due to being burned by the fireball magic now returned to the brown color like the color before the tree was burnt.

Harry was quite satisfied with his new ability, his little healing magic could not only be used to heal humans but also to heal plants and animals. It all depended on the magician using this little healing magic who he healed. So as long as he was a living being, then they could be healed with this little healing magic.

Not feeling the day has entered the afternoon. Harry's stomach growled indicating he was starving. Harry decided to walk and sat under a tree. Since the tests that had been conducted for this week, the supply of dried meat given by the magicians in the hot air balloon had long been depleted.

However, Harry wasn't the least bit worried. While he was training, Shank hunted several wild animals and took their meat for Harry and Shank to eat. Even Shank also got 2 badges from other students who were killed when they fought monsters. Hence, Harry didn't need to worry about food supplies at all.

When Harry was sitting under a tree while feeling the cool breeze. Shank appeared behind Harry carrying a dead wolf "Harry, I saw this wolf in the woods earlier so I just hunted it."

Harry nodded "You have a seat first. Let me prepare the food."

"I will help you cook this wolf." Shanks said.

"No need, you already bothered hunting so I should be the one cooking it." Harry said.

"What are you saying Harry? It is my job to help you." said Shank still insisting.

It was Shank who insisted on helping him, Harry could only let him do what he wanted.

"Then thank you for your help. You can skin this wolf and separate the bones from the meat. I will prepare a fire and roast the wolf meat later."

"Helping you is something I should be doing, Harry." said Shank while taking out a dagger and skinning the wolf.

Harry then gathered dry wood around then Harry only needed to use mana and make a fireball in a very small size so that when the fireball touched the pile of dry wood it would not explode but only burn it.

After the dry wood had started to burn Harry saw Shank who had acted quickly and prepared the wolf meat. Harry immediately grilled the wolf meat that Shank had prepared earlier.

A few moments later the wolf meat was well grilled and Harry started to eat it. Not forgetting he also gave it to Shank. "You should eat too."

"Thank you Harry." Shank took the wolf meat and ate it.

Harry quickly grabbed another wolf's meat for himself to eat. During this week of testing, Harry always ate with Shank. They divide the tasks in preparing food and eating together.

Initially Shank refused because he thought that his master had to eat first. But Harry kept asking him and Shank agreed.

Harry took a bite of the meat then chewed and swallowed it. After a few moments Harry couldn't help but sigh. The food he ate didn't have any seasoning so it tasted really bad. Moreover, there is no salt or spices here. Here there is only a vast forest filled with wild monsters. Also the students didn't have any preparation time for this test so they couldn't prepare their preparations beforehand. Harry had to be patient and just survive to eat this roast.

Harry and Shank finally finished their lunch. He put some of the remaining wolf meat into his inventory. Fortunately, this system can make food last longer.

After saving the meat into the 'Inventory System' Harry invites Shank to hunt. "Shank, I'll be hunting monsters too."
