CHAPTER 3: WEALTHY EMPIRE

A large lump went down his spine as he spat out the words from his mouth. Who did not know about the wealthy empire?

But could this man be the one?

Only a few people knew about the leader of such a large business empire that led the hotels, steel companies, and a lot of other companies all over the city.

His jaw fell apart as he continued to focus his eyes on him.

He quickly brought out his phone from his pocket and searched for him.

He compared the photos with the one that he was saying right before him.

"They match." A scoff escaped from his mouth.

His heart was racing fast now as though it was going to burst through from his chest and his father's lips broke into a smile.

"There is no need for you to think too much about it."

Then he thought about his foster mother, he had to reach out to the hospital immmediately and her bills paid.

His grandfather seem to notice the worry in his eyes and already knew what he was thinking about.

"You don't need to worry about Mrs. Bella, I Know about it and I already paid the bills."

His eyes brightened Immediately. "Thanks grandpa." He appreciated

"There is no need to thank me. That is the least that I could do for her."

"But I still need to see her." He added but his grandfather shook his head.

"I also tried to but the doctors said no one can see her by evening tomorrow." He was informed and he took it in good faith.

At least now he knew that his mother was in good hands.

"Anyways, there is someone that I would like you to meet tomorrow. He noted but he didn't say a word.

"And I think there is a need to visit the mall." He noted

He stared at the clothes that he was putting on for a while and noticed how torn it was after he had been beaten up and he didn't have enough time to get his things from his old place.

"Okay, father. I will just go over to the street and get some new clothes." He noted but then, the face of his father squeezed into a sudden frown almost immediately.

"Why would you say such? Do you even realize that you are my son now?" He could not but inquire.

He snapped his hands again and another guard walked towards him and made a swift stop just before him.

"Now, I want you to drive my grandson here to the most classic mall in the City. He noted."

And eventually, he turned out that he would be becoming the new owner of the mall pretty soon since it was also owned by his father and managed by the man that brought him there, Mr. Blakes.

The guard was already ready to take him to wherever it was that he wanted to go.

But then, he was not used to going around always being guarded, with eyes piercing through your skin.

"Is this necessary Grandpa?" His brow farrowed.

His grandfather drew off from the seat that he was sitting on and walked over to him slowly tapping him slightly by his shoulders.

"I know that you are pretty new to this but it's all for your security and nothing other than that." His grandfather persuaded him but he was not going to give in this time.

"Grandfather, let's make a deal. I promise that this is going to be the last time that I will go out without any form of protection. Besides, nobody knows about me." He noted.

His Grandfather was not okay with it but after a while, he obliged.

Henry made his way out of the suite and walked gradually into the street.

He could not help but think about the sudden turn of events. Just in a single way.

He seemed to be walking in the air now with every single trace of Dignity.

Finally, he got to the legendary Genesis Mall, the mall that when he was still a broke guy, he would never dare to look into it.

He took a deep sip of satisfaction as he walked over to the coffee point and he took a copy, flipping a dollar into the machine.

He walked away slowly towards the front desk to get a membership card. From what he had heard about the company, you could not go into the main Hall without that card and it was worth close to a million dollars.

While he continued to walk, something really strange happened within the flash of time.

It was as though something slipped into his coffee and his eyes farrowed. He could not tell what exactly it was as he continued to stare at it confused for a while.

"What could that be?" He could not help but think in his head.

Knowing that nobody was going to drink that again, he dipped his hands into it and his hands met with some strange metal, getting him Even more confused than he was already.

And curious to know what exactly it was and how it got into his cup of coffee.

Finally, he was able to bring it out and in the end, it turned out to be a coin.

His face was flushed with so much confusion as he continued to stare at it.

"How did this get into this place?" He thought.

Just then, he heard swaying feet from behind and he turned around to see who it was only to notice that it was Helena

Helena was his wife's best friend and just like everyone else, he treated him like some piece of thrash and she was a worker at the mall.

He was able to place two and two together and knew for sure that she was the one who slipped the coin into his cup of coffee.

His face tightened into a stalk frown as he continued to stare at her, gnashing his teeth with so much anger.

"And what was that for?" His hands were clenched and she made a face portraying her as an Innocent being.

"What! Are you angry at my kind gesture? I thought that is exactly what beggars like your kind want. Wouldn't you rather appreciate me?" Her face twisted with laughter.

He could feel his anger rising so badly now that he had to clutch his hands to control his rising anger.

"What are you even doing here?"

"And what position are you to answer me?" He returned to her.

He stared at him for a while, surprised by his audacity because he had never seen him that way before.

"Maybe it was because of what was done to him." She thought in her head as a dark smile hovered on her lips.

"Well if you care to know, I was just made the general supervisor and if you don't give me the reason that you are here, I am afraid you will have to get out of the place."

"And if you care to know, I am here for the same reason that everyone else in this place. To shop. If you aren't dumb to realize that already." He returned to her already getting tired of the conversation as he began to move away from her.

Her face tightened into a frown as she ran off towards him and stopped him right in the track and this time there was not even a single trace of a smile on her face.

"If you think that you want to steal, I don't think that this is the best place for you and you should leave this place right away."

He ignored all her statements and finally got to the desk where he was going to get everyone that he needed.

Immediately he got there, the sales lady stared at him, looking at him from head to toe.

"Please we don't run a charity organization here." Her fingers returned the things that she was working on before he initially came to the desk

Henry frowned.

"And who said that I came here for that? Is this really how your company treats its customers."

While he was still standing, another man came in and he was smartly dressed making her intend to him almost immediately.

"I thought that you were busy but come to think of it now, the only thing that I see you're seeing is trying to avoid me."

"Isn't it obvious that you need to leave or I am going to get the security right away?" He fired.

Soon, Helena walked into the place and proceeded directly to the bench.

"Don't listen to anything that he wants to play you with. He is a thief and a scammer."

"It's already written all over him already and I would certainly not be a prey."

He was speechless for a while. The manager of a company is being treated so poorly by the people who work under him.

"I thought that this was a mall?"

"Yeah, if you want access, you have to get a membership card and that is something to pay for."

"How much is it?"He heard his head saying.
