CHAPTER 6: COMPANY

He watched as he vanished into thin air and he was left alone there. He wanted to get his grandfather to tell him the manager of the place so that he would be driven away instantly but he decided to keep cool.

He wanted to know what his ambition was, coming into his company.

He stepped away from the place and walked gradually towards the massive gates that were made of rare gems, all glittering in the ray of the sun.

The place was packed filled with a lot of people wanting to get into the company but there was a warden at the gate

From what he was told, the warden was going to ask everyone their ambition in the company and if it was reason enough, he was going to let them in.

He was pretty shocked by the fact even a simple security officer of the company was so expensively dressed

Finally, he got to the Security and a search was carried out.

He wasn't even worried that he was the owner of the company. Besides, he was like any other person.

Since he was past visiting time, he was the only one left.

"You saw the ads right?" The guards inquired, staring right into his eyes.

"The ads?" He could not but inquire because he was beyond confused at that point.

The guard farrowed as his face tightened into a frown almost immediately. "See Me. I have dealt with your kind for the past week, even after removing the ads about the cleaner job, you guys just keep flocking."

"What exactly do you want?".

A loud scoff escaped from his mouth and he broke into a dark cough almost immediately.

"A cleaning job? I am certainly not here to do that." He returned.

The frown that was hanging on his face tightened even more. He thought that Henry was only using that as a way to get into the color and nothing other than that.

"So why are you here? And if you are here to waste my time, I am going to make sure that you pay for it." He gritted his teeth together while he continued to stare at Henry for any suspicious behavior.

"I came here to see the manager." He said and immediately he spat out the Words from his mouth, the guards burst out into laughter clutching hard to his stomach and stamping his foot on the floor.

He looked up at Henry and was about to say something but again, he burst out into laughter again.

"I can't hold it." He laughed while Henry stood there already getting pissed off.

"And your car? Can I see the model that I am using too?" He Inquired.

Come to think of it, there was no point telling the guards the car that he came here with because there was no way that he was going to believe his word for it since it was not anywhere close by.

"Why are you suddenly mute."

"I didn't bring my car here. What's the big deal?" He frowned.

"Just say it, man. You don't have one." He laughed harder.

"Is this how you treat other people? Do you know how angry your boss is going to be if he finds me out here?"

The brows of the guards farrowed once again and he burst out into laughter.

"I don't know whose manager you are talking about but mine is a lady so you better start moving along." He said.

"Shit!" He exclaimed in his head.

His grandfather only told him that he was going to be seeing someone and he was told how he was going to meet with this person.

In his words, the person was going to recognize him but how was he even going to get inside now?

For a while, he was confused and he did not know what to do as random thoughts ran through his head.

"Why don't you just call your grandfather?" He heard a voice in his head.

He brought out his phone slowly from his pocket and placed a call to his Grandfather but then he wasn't picking up the phone

Then it struck him that morning that he informed him that he was going to be in a very important meeting and his phone was on do not disturb mode.

"Now I am stranded."

"You know what is unique about you? I have never met any other bum as determined as you are. But it's too bad that your determination did not even move you to do some investigation about the company that you are coming into." He laughed harder, mocking the hell out of him.

He remembered that his driver was at the other end of the road but he forced himself to stay.

Just then, he saw someone driving a car into the place, and the car was parked at the car park.

A man in his mid-thirties brought out his expensive corporate shoes from the car first before the rest of his body proceeded out.

He wore a classic shot and the scent of his fragrance was already reaching out to him even to the far point that he was standing.

That was something that Henry hated so much. Such a high-level fragrance because there was always staring up at his stomach.

The man walked to and shouted at the security officer.

"I guess that I am pretty late but I have an urgent appointment with the manager." He voiced out the words delicately from his mouth as though it was going to hurt him if he pushed it way too much.

"Oh, I see. Sure come in." He noted with a smile hanging on his face and parting open the door.

Henry could not believe what he had just seen with his very own eyes as his jaw dropped, seeing the man walk in.

His anger rose so badly as he got up from the bench that he was sitting on and he walked over to the security guard.

"What the hell do you think that you are doing? I came here before that man but you allowed him in. Leaving me out. Is that how things have been working here."

This time, the guard was no longer laughing as his face twisted into a frown.

"Are you the one that is going to teach me my job? Just take a good look at yourself, are you even fit to see me?" He growled

At this point, Henry could feel his heart pounding hard against his chest and he was already gasping hard for breath.

"Look man, I am already tired of seeing your face here. So you better start moving along or I might have to go and get security."

"The security? Do you want to get the security to chase me out of this place? I don't think that you realize who I am." He fired.

"Yeah. I do realize who you are. You are nothing but a cheap bum who is trying to lie his way into..." He was about to complete his statement but something stopped him from doing this

He heard a strange voice from behind.

"What's going on here?" The delicate firm voice of a female finally screamed through like the sound of a musical instrument.

"Adam, why did you send that scammer to me?" She fired at him, digging her heels into the floor and walking into the place.

"I am sorry ma'am but he did look at it." He was already shivering with so much fear as cold sweat broke out from the corner of his face.

"I'm sorry about that." He apologized again.

"And who is this?" The lady inquired, turning over to Henry and immediately their eyes crossed paths, she seemed to have lost her breath and she was glued to the spot.
