Dere, the oldest sect leader, dialed Liam's number, his eyes burning with resentment. Liam picked up, his voice firm.

Liam miller speaking.” he said

“It is me, Liam,” Dere said.

“Have you thought it through?” he asked.

“We need you to attend the meeting . We must discuss Asher's... indiscretions."

Liam's response was immediate. “I already told you my response and it still stands.”

“Have a nice day.” Liam said.

“The only way to avenge your grandfather is to take his title from the one who killed him.” Dere said.

There was a long pause before Liam responded.

“I am at work, I will call you when I clock out.” Liam said sternly and ended the call.

Derek's face twisted into a scowl. "Refusing my summons? Foolish boy!" He snarled, slamming his fist on the table.

immediately, Derek summoned Victor, his most trusted warrior.

“Who is there?!” he roared.

A young warrior entered immediately, Dere tried to keep his cool.

“Call me Victor right now!” he said, the guard hurriedly left the room to fetc
