The guardian

The guardian spirit of this cultivation plane was at the Survivor Lord realm. His existance in this plane can not be sensed or perceived by anything even if it was the Survivor Overlord who had decided to seek him, this was because in this plane, he was like a God. All beings in this plane must bow before him. A plane like the undead cultivation plane was not a lower cultivation plane like most of the cultivation planes. A place that can nurture even Lords should not be trifled with.

Moreover, this Lord just like this place, he was an entity from the ancient. No one had ever known how he looked like because when he appeared anywhere, he usually takes on different appearance. He can be a demon, a giant, a safari and et catera.

From where the guardian spirit was, his hollow eyes flickered and the scene of what was happening where Lazy Wafula was reflected on his eye sockets like a mirror.

"Interesting..." The Lord only said those words and snapped his fingers bringing forth a dark wisp of energy. Knowing what he wanted, the wisp broke space that even no one in this plane can brake and appeared at the same time where Lazy Wafula was. After the Lord saw that the wisp had reached its destination, he went back to his slumber, the fight at that scene was like a fight between ants in his eyes and he was not interested in it. The only thing that interested him was the air of dark divinity coming from Lazy Wafula. That was the very air that propelled the constitution of this Lord. Back then during the ancient times, there were many cultivators with this air of darkness divinity in them, some were as weak as mortal realm experts while others were so strong probably even at the stage above the Survivor realm. With just their thought, the abyss was sundered and the gods were severed. But those people were nowhere to be seen nowadays, maybe they are slumbering like him or they were eliminated in the Survival dimension, who knows? Maybe they died of other circumstances that he didn't knew of. After all, death is inevitable. Before they migrated from this dimension to the top leveled dimension, death was certain for them.

The wisp entered into Lazy Wafula's forehead which made the survival mark to gleam. Lazy Wafula didn't knew what was happening in the background because he was too preoccupied by the beast in front of him.

"Beep"

"Unknown soul has invaded your soul space."

"The unknown soul enhancing the dark attribute."

"Dark attribute amplified by 50%"

[ You are now a favoured son of darkness. ]

The system's notification popped up in Lazy Wafula's head but he was too preoccupied to hear it. But even though Lazy Wafula didn't heard that voice, he felt like he had transmogrified into another being entirely. There was something deep inside him that was previously not there. It was something that his body craved for as if it was the last straw that was needed by his incomplete being.

His gleaming red eyes became dark, filled with boundless coldness and sharp like a sword. The energy in him intensified. This energy was not his but it was the energy of the earth which had now decided to help him as the favoured son. He was using the energy from an outside source without he himself knowing. His being became too intimidating that the Wood River before him started to cringe and trembling. Even the energy to escape from this place was not present, what it was waiting right now was its inevitable demise. Because of that dark wisp, Lazy Wafula became too cold and savage. There was no humanity in him. He was like a beast from hell. The dark energy that was escaping from him like smoke as if he was a tree that was burning just added more to his intimidation. The aura of death coming from him was so suffocating as if he was the grim reaper who had come to harvest the souls of mortals. No one can escape from the Grim Reaper's scythe when it was swung. His charcoal coloured nails elongated and they also glistened to the little light of the moon, showing its hideous nature of ripping souls. It was as sharp as a blade. Its incisiveness made it a weapon itself. They were so sharp in that they can pierce through ancestral level armors with ease.

Lazy Wafula raised his hand and used it like a knife and slashed the tongue that was still curled around his shoulder. Apparently, the Wood River was quivering too much that it even forgot to get its tongue from his shoulder. The cut of its tongue was the thing that snapped it from its dazing and it screeched loudly as it tried to escape to the nearest tree but it was suddenly dismayed to find out that it can not escape from this area. Lazy Wafula simply pierced through the void of space without moving from where he was and his long nails went through before coming out of the emptiness in front of the escaping Wood River. The nails then moved like a blur and pierced through its chest pulling out its still beating heart.

"What on Earth did that guy became? Was he hiding his cultivation stage?" Fey Wesonga was totally astounded. He remained rooted on the spot as he watched Lazy Wafula take out the beast with a single strike. He was even now suspecting that the guy was not a mortal realm, level one expert, he has to be at the very peak of this stage. Maybe the previous shelter that the freak came from was destroyed while he was away and thus, he was forced to appear in this low tier shelter. Fey Wesonga had known that there were people out there with crazy cravings in that even though they had already filled out their bars and it had only remained a few blood energy for them to evolve to a higher realm, they will not take that blood energy and instead chose to go for low level blood energy which they had earlier filled up. They just wanted to indulge in their yearning. He now thought that he had now found one of those freaks with crazy desires - Lazy Wafula. Yes.

In the meantime, Fey Wesonga was free the moment Lazy Wafula underwent those changes and the Wood River that he was fighting also stopped retaliating because it had sensed a strong suffocating presence that was there which had not been there earlier. The Wood River became jittery the moment it saw the transformed Lazy Wafula and even the energy in it to escape from this place was not there, it only chosed to escape when its fellow was killed gruesomely. But to its dismay, it found out that the area around them was totally sealed. There was no escape. The next instance, the same claws came out of the void and ripped off its heart. It whimpered for a moment before it finally breathed its last unwillingly.

Seeing that the beings which had been focusing their killing intent towards him having been taken out, Lazy Wafula shifted his focus to Fey Wesonga. When Fey Wesonga's eyes met with his, Fey felt as if he was in the midst of a horde of demons. He felt hopeless and weak. He can not even shift his gaze aside let alone raising his hand. Fey Wesonga felt as if the person that he was looking at right now was not the Lazy Wafula that he accompanied with to this forest. This was an entirely new person - a stranger and a vicious one at that. He was all jittering and he felt goosebumps all over his body. He felt like if he dared to blink, his head will roll.

"Come!" Lazy Wafula said expressionlessly. The air around him was as cold as ice.

Without even willing, Fey Wesonga found himself close to this cold being the next instance. He didn't knew how he found himself there but he was actually there close to him. Now that he was this close, he found that this person can not even be perceived, it was like Lazy Wafula had become a lifeless rock. He knew this person was alive but his life energy signal was absent. It was like he was here yet not here at the same time. His alexithymic face made him stiff like a tree and an object that didn't knew what being sentimental meant.

Lazy Wafula grasped Fey Wesonga's neck and lifted him to the air. His face emotionless.

Lazy Wafula felt like he knew this person before him but he can not pinpoint where he met him or the relationship between them. His cravings and attention was only attracted to Fey Wesonga's deep blood energy and it was urging him to absorb it for himself but the distant vague appearance of this person in his mind was a disorienting him, it was making him fight with himself inside.

As he struggled within himself, at last, the distant image of Fey Wesonga faded in his mind and Fey Wesonga became a stranger to him suddenly. His hideous nails started digging into his neck which he was squeezing tightly right now. Fey Wesonga became pale. He can not even lift up a finger to push Lazy Wafula away from him and he can only wait for his demise. Countless meridians came out of Lazy Wafula's chest like worms and squirmed though the ribcage where there was chunk of flesh. Lazy Wafula's arm which the tongue of that Wood River had coiled on was also corrupted and corroded and right now only the bones of his hand remained with the long nails coming out of the tip of his phalanges. The meridians slithered along his humerus down towards his phalanges. They were now close to the neck of Fey Wesonga wanting to pierce through his skin so that they can milk him dry.

"Fr..iend ... no ... lord ... La ... zy Wafu ... la! Please .... show ... mercy!" Fey Wesonga eventually managed to get the words out of his throat in a stuttering voice. The being in front of him was a stranger and a beast. Lazy Wafula had even forgotten about him and now he wanted to milk him dry as if he was a beast. Even if he was going to die, he had decided to try to talk some sense into him. Maybe the guy that he knew will come back.
