Chapter 6: Kill them all!

As for Jonas, his words seemed to give him a confirmation. He didn’t elaborate anymore, but directly turned the guiding stick in his hand into a sword. Then, with the speed of just the blink of an eye, he rushed forward, only seeing a black streak pass by, and then when they all regained their senses, there was a long trail of blood on his blade.

As for the two juniors, without having time to think about anything, two thin but deep cuts appeared on their necks, and then they collapsed, dead without closing their eyes.

This came as a shock to the leader. He stared at Jonas with wide eyes, unable to believe it. It wasn’t until he saw two of his juniors dead, bleeding in a heap, that he realized everything.

His face was pale, his legs were no longer steady. He mumbled out incomplete sounds, then spun around and ran away, but after taking a few steps he collapsed to the ground, crawling. just dragged.

Jonas did not show any fear or haste. He approached the other guy. At this moment, his speed changed, walking as if he were running.

“You… you… don’t come closer, I’ll scream…” the thug threatened him.

Meanwhile, Jonas just lazily warmed up his neck.

“Is that so? Do you think your juniors have had time to scream yet?”

The oligarch seems to be aware of his current situation, as well as the fact that Jonas is not a normal person. He quickly knelt down, continuously kowtowing his head.

“Dear Sir, I was wrong. Please forgive me.”

His voice was trembling, scared and humble.

Even a man in this situation would be so scared. Yet, let’s ask a girl like Selene, taken away by three men and witnessing her father being beaten and disabled, what kind of mood would she feel?

Without thinking, Jonas also felt that the situation was extremely terrible.

With blinding speed, he approached and approached the other thug. Then use one hand to grab his collar, then lift him off the ground.

Looking at him, he looked so skinny and weak, as if a child could hurt him, but at this moment, he showed extraordinary strength, easily lifting someone twice his size like a piece of cargo. . And in his hands, the muscles were also exposed.

“Tell me, where is Selene?”

The thug in Jonas’s arms trembled like a leaf. He stammered in response,

“I… I gave her to my master, but now she is probably in the cave behind the mountain…”

Jonas’s hand tightened a little, causing the thug to groan in pain.

“Who is your master?”

He always felt like there was hidden in this matter, a secret that was hard to put into words.

“Is… is a lord…”

“What is his identity? Are the recent cases of missing young girls related to you? What are you arresting Selene for?

“It hurts… it hurts… relax a little.” Because he was so excited, Jonas strangled the thug quite hard, causing him to beg him to be gentle. He slightly loosened his knuckles, leaving enough space for him to breathe and talk.

“Our… master is, in fact, a vampire entity. The girls who have gone missing recently… it’s true that we took them away. Our master needs the blood of virgins to preserve eternal youth and power…”

“Anything else?”

The thug shook his head vigorously.

“No… no… sir, can you forgive me…”

The thug confessed and before he could apologize, Jonas twisted his hand, causing his neck to break and blood to spill.. came out of the thug’s mouth, he died without closing his eyes.

Once done, he tossed the thug onto the ground and quickly made his way to the cave behind the mountain.

This mountain was where he had trained every day, visiting it hundreds of times, yet he had discovered none caves or anything unusual. Perhaps it was because of him... partly his presence that had put Selene in danger.

Jonas hurried forward, making his way behind the mountain and beginning his search. At that very moment, amidst the dry winter air, there was an overpowering, putrid smell akin to the stench of decaying corpses.

For an ordinary person, it would have been challenging to detect this scent, as the mountain area was naturally exposed to the winds, which carried the aromatic scent away. There were occasional dead animals in the vicinity, which could have caused confusion.

However, at this moment, the unmistakable odor of decay sent shivers of fear and dread through Jonas. He dashed it.

He soon found the entrance to the cave. Or rather, it was the intense stench that guided him to it.

Jonas rushed inside and was met with an eerie, bone-chilling coldness that surpassed the wintry weather outside. The foul smell grew even more pungent, to where Jonas had to cover his nose with his hand.

Suddenly, his guiding cane hit something, causing him to bend down. At that very moment, he touched something cold and rigid.

Jonas jumped in shock, but at the same instant, he realized where he was, what surrounded him, and what was happening.

“Selene...” Jonas lost his composure, stood up, and charged forward. At this point, he could smell a familiar fragrance—the scent of Selene.

In his mind, Jonas seemed to have the answer to her peril, but he refused to believe it. He knelt down and touched a cold, lifeless face.

Her face, her features, her skin, her hair, her attire, her necklace—everything confirmed it was Selene.

“No... no, why did this happen?” Jonas cradled her in his arms, and she lay still, unresponsive. Her body was stiff, showing that she had been dead for over a day. Her skin had withered and dried, a testament to the fact that the vile creature had drained her of her blood.

“I’m sorry, Selene, I’m so sorry. I couldn’t protect you. You died because of me.”

A tear rolled down Jonas’s cheek. He continued to run his fingers through her hair, untangling it. Her hair was still soft and carried a faint fragrance, just as it had always been, but she was no longer there.

“Rest in peace, Selene. I will take care of your family, your parents, and your little sister. I will also seek revenge for you. Those who owe blood will pay with blood. You can find peace in the afterlife; leave the rest to me,” Jonas said.

After speaking, he gently placed her down and then reached to touch her neck. As expected, he felt the two puncture marks.

He then examined the other bodies nearby, all of them being girls who had gone missing in the area. They shared a common trait—being drained of their blood, dying because of excessive blood loss. Their bodies had also become stiff, and in this cold weather, some hadn’t decomposed yet.

In more modern terms, this cave resembled a refrigerated storage unit for meat.

Just then, footsteps echoed from outside. Jonas found a hiding spot and listened. He determined there were two people approaching. Their steps seemed heavier than usual, one leading and the other following, suggesting they were carrying something.

In this situation, Jonas concluded that what they were carrying was the body of another girl.

At this moment, the voices of the two individuals rang out.

“This place is getting cramped day by day. If someone discovers it, what will we do?”

“That’s the master’s concern. We don’t need to worry.”

“True, the master is growing stronger. Once he reaches the pinnacle of his power, we’ll have a better life.”

“I hope so.”

Then, a sound of something being dropped—undoubtedly the girl’s body. Afterward, the two left.

Indeed, they were heartless criminals.

Jonas waited until they had gone quite far before leaving his hiding spot. He used his cane to trace the footsteps left by the two men. They had done this many times and became too comfortable. They thought the snow would hide their tracks and no one would show up in this lonely place at this time.

Jonas followed them to a small hill winding his way up the hillside. He could sense an eerie atmosphere emanating from the place. He speculated that the hill’s summit was the hiding place of the vampire.

As he continued, a voice suddenly called out from in front of him:

“Who are you? Why have you come here?”

It seemed to be the guard of this place.

Jonas halted, gripping the handle of his guiding cane tightly. Today, he didn’t intend to spare anyone.

In the dim light of the night, two figures appeared, holding hurricane lamps. As they scrutinized Jonas’s appearance, they sneered, their attitudes resembling those of the three thugs he had just dealt with.

“Oh, it’s just a blind beggar. Listen, if you want to live, get out of here. Otherwise, I’ll give you a lesson you’ll never forget.”

“Wait a minute, why let him go so easily? We should at least extort something from him,” one thug said, intending to drive Jonas away. But the other one held him back.

Afterward, he turned to Jonas and shouted arrogantly, “Pay the toll, and I’ll let you go.”

He extended his hand, confidently advancing toward Jonas. Just then, a dazzling light flashed, and the cry that followed pierced the sky.

“Ahhhhh!”

A single sword strike had severed his arm, and it lay twitching in the snow.

Jonas’s guiding cane had transformed into a sword in his hand, and he stood boldly in the snow. The remaining thug turned pale, his entire body trembling like a strand of noodles.

“W-what... is this?..”
