The next morning, everyone is just busy on preparing for their deployment later. Even Kendra is lining up to take a bath. As the cottage was so hectic, there is a person who is still in his room, and his snoring his whole morning. “We can land here!” yelled the platoon as he then jumped off the helicopter.He opened his parachute and just slowly drops to the ground. As Kendrick went down with his chute open, he looked below him to see the dozens of helicopters remains, and that indicates that lowering your chopper means death. They all landed on the ground and fixed their chutes as people will land here shortly after them. The first impression Kendrick have on this place was goosebumps. He felt that it was if something was crawling up his skin. The place was dark, misty, and pretty much worn out. A mutated demon is a demon who devoured its own kind and developed a craving for it. And since demons are not supposed to eat each other, the effects of a demon eating another will result in immense changes in the body of a demon, and that triggers the mutation. There are a lot of variants in this mutation, some grow stronger than a normal demon, and some are like this in front of the 4 swordsmen, grows uncontrollably huge. The next day, the group are now at the first division tent that guards the hole as it is being fixed. Because of his insubordination, Kendrick is not being allowed to go anywhere further the hole, unless ordered too. The other two were left off the hook as they attacked alongside Jason. However, Jason does praise Kendrick about his victory against an odd, mutated demon, since not every student can do it. Sylvester and Tray are assigned at the center division of this platoon. They replaced the fallen swordsmen and women, and they are going to be there until the deployment ends. Meanwhile, Kendrick is just sitting with the so-called give upers as they tell their story at Kendrick. Since Jason went off to report the incident and bring some sample to the forensic team, Kendrick has left with no job and orders, so he just sat there and listened to their stories. It turns out that some of them have been here for almost a decade now, and some are witness of the sudden puncture of this hole.

It has been a week and a half since the deployment happened, and things are going smoothly for the others, except for Kendrick who is still at the entrance of the hole and is just guarding this part as he is not allowed to go inside because of his punishment that he has to suffer. But as he stays here for a week and a half, he has gotten along with the other swordsmen and women around the camp. They are teaching Kendrick everything they know so they could at least boost his experience. There are also some attacks from inside demons at the camp, and Kendrick is training with them as usual. Kendrick pities them all, even though they want to go home and come back to their families if they still have one, they can’t. Because helicopters can’t get closer to the ground, which makes it hard to go away.
